The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Philippine Region hosted a 1-Day Cheon Il Guk Philippine Leaders Meeting on July 20, 2026, at the FFWPU Regional Headquarters, Quezon City, Philippines. This was attended by 50 Leaders composed of Head Pastors, Department Leaders and local Leaders and was focused mainly on setting the direction for Church Growth and bringing Blessing Candidates for 2027 Holy Blessing Ceremony.
The meeting was facilitated by FFWPU Philippines Secretary General Rev. John Rhodbert Gregorio and was formally commenced with the singing of CIG Anthem, reading of family pledge and Opening Prayer by Vice National Leader, Rev. Rene Lansangan. The meeting celebrated the completion of the 7-day Spirituality Workshop for Philippine Leaders and 3-Day Cheonshim Resonance Workshop from July 13-19, 2026. A video compilation of True Mother’s speeches was also presented, highlighting Her message of unity and of standing together with Her in this providential era.
On his welcoming remarks, FFWPU Philippines Regional Director Rev. Leo Angelo Halog outlined two main priorities: promoting the Blessing and achieving Qualitative Church Growth through revival, encouraging leaders to develop clear plans and strategies based on their capacity to contribute to True Mother’s goals by 2027.
Following this, Dr. Julius Malicdem, Vice Continental Director of FFWPU Asia Pacific, spoke about the role of leaders in bringing down the vision, empowering volunteers, and organizing Blessed Family and youth groups to support church activities. He later presented a church management and data analysis, showing increased worship attendance and donations but a decline in general membership, high inactivity rates, and very low new witnessing results, and recommended measurable goals and stronger local structures.
Afterward, FFWPU Asia Pacific Continental Director Reverend Yutaka Yamada gave a detailed presentation on the centrality of education, the mindset of educators, and the need for a clear “lifeline” system to nurture spiritual lives and support church growth. He highlighted the importance of a clear educational mindset and vision for long-term church growth, encouraging leaders to adapt educational content to suit local needs and contexts and the need for leaders to have confidence in their educational approach and to balance gathering people while developing their spiritual lives.
On the next part of the meeting, Rev. Leo Angelo T. Halog presented an overview of the Regional Headquarters’ leadership team and organizational structure. He outlined key priorities for the remaining nine months before Vision 2027, emphasizing the need to strengthen church communities, achieve qualitative growth in blessed families, and develop programs for second-generation members. The discussion included plans for conducting revival workshops in different churches, organizing three-generation family workshops, and establishing regular meetings with Area Leaders to collaborate on implementing these initiatives.
Afterward, the attendees were asked to group by area (1-5) and connect with local departments for collaboration. The teams were given one hour to discuss and plan, with a focus on setting goals for witnessing, blessing, worship, tithings and donations centered on church growth. Each Area Director shared in front the output of their small group discussions. Blessed Family Department and Education Committee Head as well shared their department report and updates towards achieving the goal expectation for 2027. After the reports, the National Calendar of Activities from August-December 2026 was also presented to all Leaders.
The meeting ended with closing messages from Dr. Julius Malicdem, Reverend Yutaka Yamada, and Reverend Leo Angelo Halog, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the church’s goals in the Philippines.
Reflection
Rev. Blessie Belle Ramos, Head Pastor, Antipolo Family church: This meeting was a meaningful reminder that building God’s kingdom is not something we can do alone. It takes unity, clear direction, and sincere cooperation among leaders. Through the guidance and reports shared, we were able to reflect on both our strengths and the areas where we need to improve, especially in witnessing, education, and caring for our members. It also encouraged us to take greater responsibility for Vision 2027 by making practical plans and working together with one heart. I believe that if we continue to support one another and keep True Mother’s vision at the center, we can bring lasting growth to our churches and communities.
