Nestled in the serene and picturesque countryside of Glanów, Poland, 90 participants gathered from October 2nd to 4th for a pivotal milestone in their spiritual and personal journeys: the Matching and Blessing Preparation Workshop (Level 2 Part 1). Designed specifically for second-generation (and beyond) young adults alongside their parents, the three-day retreat created a warm, reflective space dedicated to preparing hearts, deepening mutual understanding, and navigating the sacred path toward the Blessing.
Organized by the EUME Blessed Family Department, the event served a double purpose—guiding young adults and parents through the practical, relational, and spiritual dimensions of the matching process while fulfilling essential qualifications for the upcoming Blessing. Through interactive sessions, guided parent-child discussions, and reflective exercises, participants tackled core topics including honest communication, emotional maturity, intergenerational trust, and the shared values that underpin strong, faith-centered families.
The workshop benefited greatly from the uplifting presence and guidance of senior leadership. Continental Vice President Dr. Dieter Schmidt and Blessed Family Department Director Marea Toresen actively participated throughout the weekend, offering heartfelt messages, practical wisdom, and encouraging vision. Their guidance provided both youth and parents with a clear roadmap and a reassuring sense of community backing as they step into this next life chapter.
Beyond the formal curriculum, the tranquil setting of Glanów allowed meaningful connections to bloom naturally during shared meals and evening fellowship. Participants departed the workshop not only with their official qualifications complete, but with renewed confidence, stronger family alignment, and a shared sense of joy as they look toward the future.
