“Together We Shine with God”: Gaflenz Hosts 2026 Austrian Children’s Workshop
GAFLENZ, AUSTRIA — From July 12 to July 17, 2026, the FFWPU Austria training center in the city of Gaflenz served as the host site for the annual Austrian Children’s Workshop. Centered around the empowering theme “Together We Shine with God,” the six-day retreat brought together young participants, mentors, and families for a week of faith building, character development, and community bonding.
Community and Generational Connection
The retreat highlighted a strong multi-generational commitment to youth development and spiritual education:
- Participants: Around 25 third-generation children participated in the program.
- Leadership & Support: A team of 15 staff members, elder second-generation members, and parents actively supported the activities.
- Program Leadership: Older second-generation members from Austria designed and facilitated the tailored summer curriculum.
Program Highlights
The curriculum was carefully crafted to blend historic reflection with practical life skills:
- Historical Foundations: Educational workshops focused on the lives and history of the True Parents, offering context and inspiring examples for the younger generation.
- Discovering Personal Talents: Interactive sessions guided children to recognize and nurture their individual God-given gifts.
- Living the Faith: Group discussions and team activities encouraged participants to integrate positive spiritual values and shine brightly in their daily lives.
