JOHANNESBURG — On July 26, 2026, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) South Africa successfully hosted a National Family Convocation centered on the theme: “Know Thyself and What Shall We Do?”
The hybrid event gathered approximately 150 participants, with the main program taking place in Johannesburg and regional members joining via Zoom from Cape Town, Rustenburg, Limpopo, and Namibia.
Purpose and Vision
The primary objective of the gathering was to unite Blessed Families during a pivotal providential period and deepen members’ understanding of their identity and mission. The program was organized in response to recent guidance from True Mother, calling on all Blessed Families to unite, renew their commitment to establishing a peaceful world, and fulfill their core responsibilities with sincerity and devotion.

Opening Remarks
The event was officiated by National Leader Rev. Emeraude Heaven Ndonga, who welcomed participants and introduced the guest speaker, Rev. Bakary Camara.
In his opening address, Rev. Ndonga shared excerpts from True Father’s speech commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Cheon Jeong Gung. He emphasized the providential significance of Cheon Jeong Gung as a symbol of God’s restored sovereignty on Earth, highlighting the lifelong sacrifices of True Parents to build the Kingdom of Heaven. He encouraged all Blessed Families to inherit this heart and tradition by strengthening their faith, unity, and devotion toward Heaven.
Keynote Address: “Who Are We and What Shall We Do?”
The keynote address was delivered by Rev. Bakary Camara, drawing from True Mother’s recent guidance and the teachings of the Cham Bumo Gyeong (Chambumo-ron).
Key highlights from the keynote presentation included:
- Identity & Responsibility: Rev. Camara reminded participants of their calling as Blessed Families to serve as Heavenly Parent’s representatives and owners of Cheon Il Guk. He emphasized that this era calls for absolute unity with True Mother and a dedicated effort to carry out core duties.
- Overcoming Xenophobia Through True Love: Addressing ongoing xenophobic tensions in South Africa, Rev. Camara reminded the audience that as members of one family under God, national boundaries should never divide human hearts. He noted that through the Blessing, families are composed of diverse national backgrounds, producing children who transcend a single nationality to become true global citizens of peace. He urged all members to reject discrimination, practice true love, and serve as peace ambassadors within their communities.
- A Life of Attendance: He concluded by stressing the importance of living a life centered on Heavenly Parent and True Parents in daily family and public life—describing this devotion as the foundation for establishing Cheon Il Guk and lasting world peace.
Fellowship & Community
Following the formal proceedings, participants gathered for a fellowship meal and engaged in meaningful discussions.
As South Africa continues to navigate complex social challenges, this national gathering reaffirmed FFWPU’s commitment to fostering reconciliation, unity, and peaceful coexistence through the vision of One Family Under God.
