PRAGUE — Against the backdrop of one of Europe’s most historic cities, the spirit of international unity took center stage from August 13–16, 2026, as Prague hosted the Peace Cup 2026 – EUME Youth Sports and Culture Festival. Spearheaded by YSP Prague under the dynamic leadership of Viera Gregurková and Matea Strkulová, in close collaboration with the EUME Youth Department, the four-day gathering united energetic young people from across the EUME region for an inspiring celebration of athletic camaraderie, artistic expression, and cross-cultural fellowship.
Throughout the festival, energy remained high across venues as participants tested their skills and team spirit. The athletic program showcased a blend of traditional sportsmanship and modern competition, featuring action in football, volleyball, frisbee, track running, and relay races, alongside strategic showdowns in the e-sports arena. Beyond the pursuit of victory, every match embodied fair play, transforming competitive rivalries into genuine international solidarity.
Yet, the Peace Cup was far more than a tournament; it was a vibrant platform for shared culture and youthful dialogue. Participants explored deep themes of harmony during the Youth for Peace Assembly, while the Peace Through Art Exhibition allowed delegates to showcase their creative visions. Evenings radiated energy through a colorful Fashion Show, interactive Creative Workshops, and the rich soundscapes of the Intercultural Music Festival. Meanwhile, the popular Coffee Corner served as the social heart of the event, offering a continuous supply of fresh coffee and bakery items where participants could relax, chat, and connect between activities.
The four-day celebration culminated in the thrilling Grand Finals and a memorable Award Ceremony, where champions and delegates alike were recognized for their dedication and sportsmanship. Ultimately, Peace Cup Prague created a joyful, inclusive space where young people built lasting bridges across borders, shared their rich traditions, and forged memories that will resonate long after the final whistle.
