On Saturday, October 15, the Peace Road walk was held on the Asunción waterfront under the theme Pink October.

Fundamentally, a group from the Women’s Federation for World Peace, UPF Ambassadors for Peace, and YSP youth mobilized. These organizations were the organizers.

The walk was accompanied by a select group and personalities such as the former first lady and senator of the Nation, Mrs. Emilia Franco, candidate for National Deputy for Central, Mrs. Carolina Fernández, and Mrs. María Eva Pérez, who was always an adviser to several Presidents of the nation.

The event began with the words of the President of UPF, Mr. Evaristo Fernández, highlighting the importance of the day and the global impact achieved by the participation of the group present. I also add: “World peace begins in each one of us”

Then Mrs. Roswitha Dueck de Giuliano continued speaking, International Vice President for Latin America and President of Paraguay of the Women’s Federation for World Peace, who referred to the meaning of “Pink October”, she pointed out: “Pink October begins at the beginning of In the 1990s, when breast cancer survivors ran the marathon in Dallas, United States, organized by the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the pink ribbon was introduced, which remained as a symbol of that day.

The former first lady, Mrs. Emilia Franco, continued speaking, emphasizing the care and prevention of breast cancer, as well as thanking everyone for their presence and that with God’s guidance we can achieve the objectives of Peace, starting with our families. She finally asked for prayer for the unification of the Koreas.

Before the start of the walk, Professor Gustavo Giuliano, Director of Peace Road Paraguay, explained in more detail the objectives of the Peace Road and gave instructions on how the walk would be carried out. He said: “The fundamental axis of achieving World Peace is in the union of man and woman in marriage, forming healthy, strong and happy families.” He further stated that, “The unification of the Koreas represented by the left and right sides can only be achieved with God at the center.”

The walk of achievement within a park of the Costanera de Asunción following a certain path. The protagonists enthusiastically set out to achieve the goal.

At the end of the walk, Mrs. Carolina Fernández recounted her experience of overcoming breast cancer, extolling the importance of family support. Next, Mrs. María Eva Pérez recounted the testimony of how the cancer termination process was in her sister, encouraging those present to check themselves periodically since the cancer is totally surmountable.

In conclusion we sing the song of UNITY and perform three shouts of Og mansei.
