Dear beloved blessed families and members around the world,
I pray that this week you will be able to firmly uphold your identity as chosen blessed families whatever your circumstance and bring joy to True Mother through a life of attending Heavenly Parent in substantial ways.

1. Looking Back on the First Stream: The Beginning of the Two-Stream Strategy

Over the four weeks of July, we have explored why it is good to study The Great Epic of the Chosen Han People of Korea. We discovered that the Epic is both the providential blueprint for humanity and a genealogy of heart. Centering on True Parents, it establishes the identity of the chosen blessed families and leads us to a homecoming—in our hearts—to our original homeland of faith.

We also reflected on how the Korean values of hyo (“filial piety”) and jeong (“heart”), cultivated amid the culture of the Korean Han people, are fulfilled in true love. And noting True Father’s final prayer in Las Vegas, we emphasized that these lessons must ultimately be fulfilled by practicing them in our families.

Our four-week study of the Great Epic has enabled us to understand the overall direction and vision of the first stream of the Two-Stream Strategy—which is the providence of the salvation of humanity and the restoration of the world. From this point forward, we will turn our attention to the second stream: living in the kingdom of heaven on earth.

While the first stream presents the grand providential vision for global restoration and salvation, the second stream shows how chosen blessed families should live by attending Heavenly Parent in substantial ways within that providence. This week, as the first step, we will consider together why we must learn and practice the second stream—living in the kingdom of heaven on earth. In my weekly messages to come, we will examine what life in the kingdom of heaven on earth is, and how we can put it into practice.

2. The Lesson to Learn from the Babylonian Exile

Dear brothers and sisters,

Looking back through history, we see that a people’s identity has never been forged in times of prosperity alone; rather, it has become most distinct in times of crisis. A representative example is Israel during the Babylonian exile. In 586 BC, the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, the Davidic kingdom came to an end, and the people were taken captive to Babylon. They had lost their nation, lost their Temple, and it even seemed as if hope itself had disappeared. Yet paradoxically, it was in that very time of despair that the people of Israel asked the most important question of all.

“Who are we?”

Rather than clinging to the Temple, they held fast to God’s covenant. Rather than their land, they held fast to the Word. Rather than political power, they preserved their faith through family-centered traditions. They kept the Sabbath, taught the Law to their children, and built scattered communities into one community of faith. As a result, Israel’s collective identity did not collapse. Instead, it became even clearer, providing the foundation that enabled the Jewish people to preserve both their status as a people and their faith throughout the 2,000 years of the diaspora.

Thus we can see that times of crisis are not when identity is lost; they are when God restores the identity of a chosen people. Today, we stand at such a historic turning point.

3. An Era of Renewing Our Identity

Today, we too are passing through another historic period of transition. In the father nation of Korea, Mother’s trial continues, while in the mother nation of Japan we are facing the unimagined reality of corporate dissolution. Outwardly, difficulties and uncertainty seem to persist, and many brothers and sisters are spending each day in deep concern and anxiety.

Yet when we look back upon the history of Heavenly Parent’s providence, we find that such periods of transition have never marked an ending, but rather a new beginning. A crisis is not the time when Heaven abandons the chosen people, but the time when Heaven leads them to restore their essential identity more clearly than ever before. Just as Israel established a renewed identity centered on God’s covenant after the Babylonian exile, we too must now engrave more deeply within our hearts the reason for our existence and our mission as blessed families.

We often say with hope, “After a harsh winter, spring will surely come.” Yet the winter we face today is not a light reality that can be endured just with poetic words. Only those who persevere through the bitter winter to the very end will ultimately welcome the spring. Therefore, we must not simply let time pass without preparation, simply waiting for spring to arrive. Now is not the time to merely endure the winter; it is the time to actively prepare for the coming spring.

Especially at such a time, our focus must be directed more toward inner transformation than outward circumstances. Rather than asking what we have lost, we should ask what Heavenly Parent now desires us to restore. The answer is a life of substantial attendance of Heavenly Parent, and the original mission of blessed families to build a community of the culture of heart.

Therefore, this is not merely a time for enduring hardship, but a time when we must learn and practice a new way of life as Heaven’s chosen people. This is the time when Heaven is calling us to learn this new way of life, and the Two-Stream Strategy will serve as a new signpost pointing the way forward.

4. Why Must We Come to Understand the Second Stream?

The Babylonian exile was a period of more than seventy years during which the people of Israel were without a nation. It was an era of transformation in which God reshaped the identity of the chosen people. The people of Israel abandoned idolatry and restored their faith in God, changing a faith centered on the Temple into a community that practiced God’s Word in daily life. Furthermore, rather than clinging to a sense of privilege as God’s chosen nation, the people learned a sense of responsibility to live out the covenant and were reborn as a renewed chosen people.

Today, we too are passing through a new period of transition. If we have confirmed, through the Great Epic teachings, the identity of the blessed families as a chosen people, now is the time to complete that identity through our lives. While the First Stream presents the broad direction of our public mission—the salvation of humanity and the restoration of the world—the Second Stream is the concrete path of practicing life in the kingdom of heaven on earth through attending Heavenly Parent in substantial ways. We are not called to practice the Second Stream just to gain new knowledge. Rather, this new era requires that Heaven’s chosen people adopt a new way of life. Throughout the ages, Heavenly Parent has renewed the identity of the chosen people. Today Heavenly Parent is calling us to fulfill that identity through living in the kingdom of God on earth. This is precisely why we must learn and apply the Second Stream, living the life of the heavenly kingdom.

5. This Week’s Practice: Beginning Life in the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth with Gratitude

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to encourage you to continue the ongoing 40-day special period of devotions with an unwavering heart until the very end. Jeongseong is the steady path of offering up our hearts before Heavenly Parent each day.

During this coming week, each time you finish your prayer, offer your gratitude to Heavenly Parent. At least once a day please also express that gratitude to someone close to you. Be the first to say, “Thank you,” to a family member, a fellow church member, or a colleague at work. When gratitude toward Heaven naturally extends into gratitude toward others, a culture of heart will blossom within our families and communities, and life in the kingdom of heaven on earth will become our daily reality.

I pray that throughout this coming week, the love of Heavenly Parent and the grace of True Mother will embrace each blessed family and fill every one of your homes.

존경하고 사랑하는 전 세계 축복가정 식구님 여러분,

어떤 환경 속에서도 선민 축복가정으로서의 정체성을 굳게 지키며, 하늘부모님을 실체로 모시는 삶으로 참어머님께 기쁨을 올려드리는 한 주가 되시기를 기원합니다.

1. 두축전략의 시작, 제1축을 돌아보다

지난 7월 4주간 우리는 『한민족 선민 대서사시』를 통해 왜 이 말씀을 배워야 하는지를 함께 살펴보았습니다. 이 대서사시는 인류를 위한 섭리의 설계도이자 심정의 족보로서, 참부모님을 중심으로 선민 축복가정의 정체성을 확립하고 신앙적 본향을 찾아가는 심정적 귀향의 길임을 확인했습니다. 또한 한민족 문화 속에 숙성된 효와 정이 참사랑으로 완성되었음을 조명하고, 참아버님의 라스베이거스 최종 기도를 통해 그 배움을 가정에서 실천하는 삶으로 완성해야 함을 강조했습니다.

이러한 의미에서 지난 4주간 함께 살펴본 『한민족 선민 대서사시』는 두축전략의 제1축인 인류구원과 세계복귀 섭리의 큰 방향과 비전을 이해하는 시간이었습니다. 이제부터는 같은 두축전략의 제2축인 지상천국생활을 함께 살펴보고자 합니다.

제1축이 인류구원과 세계복귀를 향한 섭리의 큰 비전을 보여 준다면, 제2축은 그 섭리 속에서 선민 축복가정이 하늘부모님을 실체로 모시며 어떻게 살아가야 하는지를 제시합니다. 이번 주는 그 첫 번째 순서로 왜 우리는 제2축을 배우고 실천하며 지상천국생활을 살아야 하는가(Why)를 함께 생각해 보고자 합니다. 이어지는 메시지에서는 지상천국생활이란 무엇인가(What), 그리고 그것을 어떻게 실천할 것인가(How)를 차례대로 살펴보겠습니다.

2. 바빌론 포로가 남긴 교훈

사랑하는 식구님 여러분,

역사를 돌아보면 한 민족의 정체성은 언제나 번영의 시기에 완성된 것이 아니라 위기의 순간에 더욱 선명해졌습니다. 그 대표적인 사례가 바로 바빌론 포로시대의 이스라엘입니다. 기원전 586년, 예루살렘 성전은 무너졌고 다윗 왕조는 막을 내렸으며 백성들은 바빌론으로 끌려갔습니다. 국가도 잃었고 성전도 잃었으며 희망마저 사라진 것처럼 보였습니다. 그러나 역설적으로 바로 그 절망의 시간 속에서 이스라엘 민족은 가장 중요한 질문을 던졌습니다.

‘우리는 누구인가?’

그들은 성전보다 하나님과의 언약을 붙들었고, 영토보다 말씀을 붙들었으며, 권력보다 가정을 중심으로 신앙을 계승했습니다. 안식일을 지키고, 자녀에게 율법을 가르치며, 흩어진 공동체를 하나의 신앙공동체로 세워 갔습니다. 그 결과 이스라엘 민족의 정체성은 무너지지 않았습니다. 오히려 더욱 선명해졌고, 이후 약 2천 년에 이르는 디아스포라 역사 속에서도 민족과 신앙을 지켜낼 수 있는 토대가 되었습니다.

위기는 정체성을 잃게 만드는 시간이 아니라, 하나님께서 선민의 정체성을 다시 세우시는 시간입니다. 오늘 우리는 또 하나의 역사적 전환점 앞에 서 있습니다.

3. 새로운 정체성 재정립의 시대

오늘 우리 역시 또 하나의 역사적 전환기를 지나고 있습니다. 아버지 나라 한국에서는 재판이 계속되고 있으며, 어머니 나라 일본에서는 법인 해산이라는 전례 없는 현실을 맞이하고 있습니다. 외적으로는 어려움과 혼란이 계속되는 것처럼 보이며, 많은 식구님들께서 안타까움과 염려 속에서 하루하루를 보내고 계십니다.

그러나 하늘부모님께서 섭리를 이끌어 오신 역사를 돌아보면, 이러한 전환기는 결코 끝이 아니라 새로운 출발의 시간이었습니다. 위기는 하늘이 선민을 버리시는 시간이 아니라, 본질을 더욱 선명하게 회복하도록 이끄시는 시간이었습니다. 바빌론 포로 이후 이스라엘이 하나님과의 언약을 중심으로 새로운 정체성을 확립했듯이, 오늘 우리 역시 지금의 상황을 통해 축복가정으로서의 존재 이유와 사명을 더욱 깊이 새겨야 할 때입니다.

우리는 흔히 “혹독한 겨울이 지나면 반드시 봄이 온다”는 희망의 말을 합니다. 그러나 지금 우리가 마주한 겨울은 낭만적인 미사여구만으로 견뎌낼 수 있는 가벼운 현실이 아닙니다. 혹독한 겨울을 끝까지 견뎌 살아남는 자만이 비로소 봄을 맞이할 수 있습니다. 그러므로 아무런 준비 없이 시간을 흘려보내며 그저 봄이 오기만을 기다려서는 안 됩니다. 지금은 겨울을 견디는 시간이 아니라, 다가올 봄을 준비하는 시간입니다.

이럴 때일수록 우리의 시선은 외적인 환경보다 내적인 변화에 향해야 합니다. 우리는 무엇을 잃었는가보다, 하늘부모님께서 지금 우리에게 무엇을 회복하기 원하시는가를 물어야 합니다. 그것은 바로 하늘부모님을 실체로 모시고 살아가는 삶, 그리고 축복가정이 심정문화공동체를 이루어 가는 본래의 사명입니다.

그렇기에 지금은 단순히 어려움을 견디는 시대가 아니라, 새로운 선민의 삶을 배우고 실천해야 하는 시대입니다. 지금은 하늘이 우리에게 새로운 선민의 삶을 배우라고 부르시는 시간이며, 두축전략은 그 길을 보여 주는 새로운 이정표가 될 것입니다.

4. 왜 제2축을 배워야 하는가

바빌론 포로기는 단순히 나라를 잃은 70년의 역사가 아니었습니다. 하나님께서 선민의 정체성을 새롭게 빚으신 전환의 시대였습니다. 이스라엘은 우상숭배를 버리고 하나님 신앙을 회복했으며, 성전 중심의 신앙에서 말씀을 삶으로 실천하는 공동체로 변화되었습니다. 또한 선택받은 민족이라는 특권의식보다 언약을 실천해야 하는 책임의식을 배우며 새로운 선민으로 거듭났습니다.

오늘날 우리 역시 새로운 전환기를 지나고 있습니다. 『한민족 선민 대서사시』를 통해 선민 축복가정의 정체성을 확인했다면, 이제는 그 정체성을 삶으로 완성해야 할 때입니다. 제1축이 인류구원과 세계복귀라는 공적 사명의 큰 방향을 제시했다면, 제2축은 하늘부모님을 실체로 모시고 살아가는 지상천국생활을 구체적으로 실천하는 길을 제시합니다. 오늘 우리에게 주어진 제2축을 실천해야 하는 이유는 새로운 지식을 얻기 위해서가 아닙니다. 새로운 시대에는 새로운 선민의 삶이 요구되기 때문입니다. 하늘부모님께서는 시대마다 선민의 정체성을 새롭게 하셨고, 오늘 우리에게는 그 정체성을 지상천국생활로 완성하라고 부르고 계십니다. 이것이 바로 지금 우리가 제2축을 배우고 실천하며 지상천국생활을 살아가야 하는 이유입니다.

5. 이번 주 실천: 감사로 시작하는 지상천국생활

사랑하는 식구 여러분,

현재 진행되고 있는 40일 특별정성을 끝까지 변함없는 마음으로 이어가 주시기를 부탁드립니다. 정성은 매일 하늘부모님 앞에 마음을 올려드리는 꾸준한 삶의 자세입니다.

또한 이번 한 주에는 기도를 마칠 때마다 하늘부모님께 감사를 올리고, 그 감사를 하루에 한 번 가까운 이웃에게도 표현해 보시기 바랍니다. 가족이나 교회 식구, 직장 동료에게 먼저 “감사합니다.”라는 한마디를 전해 보십시오. 하늘을 향한 감사가 사람을 향한 감사로 이어질 때, 심정문화는 우리의 가정과 공동체 속에 꽃피고, 지상천국생활은 우리의 일상이 될 것입니다.

이번 한 주도 하늘부모님의 사랑과 참어머님의 은혜가 모든 축복가정과 식구 여러분의 가정에 충만하시기를 기원합니다.

敬愛する全世界の祝福家庭の食口の皆様、

どのような環境の中でも選民祝福家庭としてのアイデンティティを固く守り、天の父母様に実体で侍る生活を通して、真のお母様に喜びをお捧げする1週間となられることをお祈りいたします。

1. ツーストリーム（２軸）戦略の始まり、 第１軸を振り返る

去る7月の4週間、私たちは『韓民族選民大叙事詩』を通して、なぜこのみ言を学ばなければならないのかを共に考察してきました。この大叙事詩は、人類のための摂理の設計図であり心情の系譜として、真の父母様を中心に選民祝福家庭のアイデンティティを確立し、信仰的本郷（故郷）を探して行く心情的な帰郷の道であることを確認しました。

また、韓民族の文化の中に熟成された「孝」と「情」が真の愛で完成されたことに光を当て、真のお父様のラスベガス最終祈祷を通して、その学びを家庭で実践する人生として完成させなければならないことを強調しました。

このような意味で、過去4週間にわたって共に見てきた『韓民族選民大叙事詩』は、ツーストリーム戦略の第１軸である人類救援と世界復帰の摂理の大きな方向性とビジョンを理解する時間でした。これからは、同じツーストリーム戦略の第2軸である地上天国生活について共に考察していきたいと思います。

第1軸が人類救援と世界復帰に向けた摂理の大きなビジョンを示すならば、第2軸はその摂理の中で選民祝福家庭が天の父母様に実体で侍り、どのように生きていかなければならないのかを提示します。

今週はその最初の順序として、なぜ私たちが第2軸を学び、実践し、地上天国生活を生きていかなければならないのか（Why）を共に考えていきたいと思います。

続くメッセージでは、地上天国生活とは何か（What）、そしてそれをどのように実践するのか（How）を順に見ていきたいと思います。

2. バビロン捕囚が残した教訓

愛する食口の皆様、

歴史を振り返ると、ある民族のアイデンティティは、いつの時代も繁栄の時期に完成されたのではなく、危機の瞬間に一層鮮明になりました。

その代表的な事例がまさにバビロン捕囚時代のイスラエルです。紀元前586年、エルサレム神殿は崩壊し、ダビデ王朝は幕を閉じ、民はバビロンへと連れ去られました。国家も失い、神殿も失い、希望さえ消え去ったかのように見えました。しかし、逆説的にまさにその絶望の時間の中で、イスラエル民族は最も重要な問いを投げかけました。

“私たちは誰なのか？”

彼らは神殿よりも神との契約をしっかりと握りしめ、領土よりもみ言をしっかりと握りしめ、権力よりも家庭を中心に信仰を継承しました。安息日を守り、子女たちに律法を教え、散らばった共同体を一つの信仰共同体として築いていきました。その結果、イスラエル民族のアイデンティティは崩れませんでした。

むしろ一段と鮮明になり、その後約2千年に及ぶディアスポラの歴史の中においても、民族と信仰を守り抜くことができる土台となりました。危機はアイデンティティを失わせる時間ではなく、神が選民のアイデンティティを再び立て直される時間です。今日、私たちはもう一つの歴史的転換点の前に立っています。

3. 新しいアイデンティティ再確立の時代

今日、私たちもまた、もう一つの歴史的転換期を通過しています。父の国、韓国では裁判が継続しており、母の国、日本では法人解散という前例のない現実を迎えています。

外的には困難と混乱が続いているように見え、多くの食口の皆様が切なさと心配の中で日々を過ごしておられます。しかし、天の父母様が摂理を導いてこられた歴史を振り返ってみると、このような転換期は決して終わりではなく、新たな出発の時間でした。

危機は、天が選民を見放される時間ではなく、本質をより鮮明に回復するように導いてくださる時間でした。バビロン捕囚以後、イスラエルが神との契約を中心に新たなアイデンティティを確立したように、今日、私たちもまた今の状況を通じて、祝福家庭としての存在理由と使命をより深く胸に刻むべき時です。

私たちはよく、「厳しい冬が過ぎ去れば、必ず春が来る」という希望の言葉を口にします。しかし、今私たちが直面している冬は、ロマンチックな美辞麗句だけで耐え抜けるような軽い現実ではありません。

厳しい冬を最後まで耐え抜いて生き残る者だけが、ようやく春を迎えることができます。ですから、何の準備もせず時間を過ごし、ただ春が来るのだけを待っていてはなりません。今は冬を耐える時間ではなく、来たるべき春を準備する時間です。

こういう時こそ、私たちの視線は外的な環境よりも内的な変化に向かわなければなりません。私たちは何を失ったかよりも、天の父母様が今私たちに何を回復することを望んでおられるのかを問わなければなりません。それはまさに、天の父母様に実体で侍って生きる生活、そして祝福家庭が心情文化共同体を築いていく本来の使命です。

だからこそ、今は単に困難に耐え忍ぶ時代ではなく、新しい選民の生き方を学び、実践しなければならない時代です。今は天が私たちに新しい選民の生き方を学ぶよう呼びかけておられる時間であり、ツーストリーム戦略は、その道を示す新しい道しるべ（里程標）となるでしょう。

4. なぜ第2軸を学ばなければならないのか

バビロン捕囚期は、単に国を失った70年の歴史ではありませんでした。神様が選民のアイデンティティを新しく形作られた転換の時代でした。

イスラエルは偶像崇拝を捨てて神様信仰を回復し、神殿中心の信仰からみ言を生活で実践する共同体に変化しました。また、選ばれた民族という特権意識よりも、契約を実践しなければならない責任意識を学び、新しい選民として生まれ変わりました。

今日、私たちもまた新たな転換期を迎えています。『韓民族選民大叙事詩』を通じて選民祝福家庭のアイデンティティを確認したのであれば、今やそのアイデンティティを生活で完成させなければならない時です。

第1軸が人類救援と世界復帰という公的使命の大きな方向性を示したのであれば、第2軸は、天の父母様に実体で侍って生きる地上天国生活を具体的に実践する道を提示します。

今日私たちに与えられた第2軸を実践しなければならない理由は、新しい知識を得るためではありません。新しい時代には、新しい選民の生き方が求められているからです。

天の父母様は時代ごとに選民のアイデンティティを新たにされ、今日の私たちには、そのアイデンティティを地上天国生活として完成させるよう呼びかけておられます。これこそが、今私たちが第2軸を学び、実践し、地上天国生活を生きていかなければならない理由です。

5. 今週の実践：感謝から始まる地上天国生活

愛する食口の皆様、

現在進められている40日特別精誠を、最後まで変わらぬ心で続けていかれますようお願い申し上げます。精誠とは、毎日天の父母様の前に心を捧げる、絶え間ない生き方の姿勢です。

また今週は、祈りを終えるたびに天の父母様に感謝を捧げ、その感謝を1日に1回、身近な隣人にも表現してみてください。家族や教会の食口、職場の同僚に、まず「ありがとうございます」という一言を伝えてみてください。

天に向ける感謝が人に向ける感謝へとつながる時、心情文化は私たちの家庭と共同体の中に花開き、地上天国生活は私たちの日常となるでしょう。

今週も天の父母様の愛と真のお母様の恩恵が、すべての祝福家庭と食口の皆様のご家庭に満ち溢れることをお祈りいたします。
