The 2026 Family Summer Camp was held from July 13 to 17 at the Chamarande Education Center in France, bringing together 55 participants (21 adults and 34 children) under the theme “Virtues Common to the Three Purposes of Life.”
The children were divided into two age groups (7–11 and 12+), while parents and adult volunteers worked together throughout the camp to support the program and care for the participants.
Designed as an introductory camp to strengthen ties with families, including those who may have become less active in Church life, the camp featured daily guidance, followed by testimonies and interactive workshops related to the day’s theme. The guidance focused on deepening participants’ relationship with Heavenly Parent, strengthening family relationships, and cultivating a sense of responsibility toward nature and the environment, beginning with caring for the workshop center through daily cleaning.
Despite the summer heatwave affecting France, participants enjoyed a variety of sports and water activities, prepared team performances, took part in a Challenge Day, and spent joyful moments together during an outing. In the evenings, they also gathered to watch the two FIFA World Cup semi-finals, sharing moments of fellowship and excitement.
As a long-awaited rainfall began during the final minutes of the closing ceremony, the camp concluded successfully, leaving participants with joyful memories, stronger relationships, and a deeper understanding of the three purposes of life.
