Family Fun Festival 2026: Uniting Generations and Cultures in Celebration
From June 27 to 28, 2026, the Toronto Family Church hosted the third annual Family Fun Festival at Clearstone Garden. Designed to foster deeper fellowship and growth within the community, the two-day event brought together 120 attendees, including 90 community members and 30 friends and invited guests.
A Holy Ground Prepared with Devotion
Led by the Youth Ministry, the festival was a true collaborative effort by the entire Blessed Family community. The venue itself, Clearstone Garden, holds deep historical significance as a Holy Ground visited by True Parents. To prepare the site, numerous Blessed Families volunteered to mow lawns, trim trees, and construct the stage from scratch. This shared investment of time and devotion gave everyone a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with the true spirit of community.
Building Connections Through Sports
The highlight of the daytime program was a series of high-energy sports tournaments. Over the course of the two days, participants formed their own teams to compete in basketball and volleyball matches. The team lineups beautifully reflected the diversity of the event, featuring:
- Guests invited by Blessed Families
- School friends invited by Second Generation (2nd Gen) youth
- Collaborative teams of missionaries, guests, and 2nd Gen members
In an impressive display of teamwork, a team named “Chan Gang”—composed entirely of a single 2nd Gen Blessed Family—swept first place in both the basketball and volleyball tournaments. Watching parents and children play with one heart and mind brought smiles and deep inspiration to the crowd, perfectly embodying the beautiful family culture at the core of the community.
Culture Night: Honoring Our Roots
As the sun set, the festival transitioned into a vibrant Culture Night. Led by the Cosmic Harmony Band, the entire crowd joined together in song, creating a powerful atmosphere of unity.
The youth also took the stage to perform an original play that movingly portrayed the providential course and sacrifices of the parent generation and elder members. The performance earned a resounding round of applause and created a warm, intergenerational space where the love and traditions of the community were passed down with mutual respect.
A God-Centered Sunday Worship
On Sunday, June 28, the community gathered for an outdoor Sunday Service. Regional Director Jong-Deok Yu delivered an inspiring sermon, reminding everyone of the profound purpose behind a God-centered community. The festival concluded with a massive, potluck-style fellowship lunch, where participants renewed their commitment to building a true, loving community centered on Heaven.
