A Testimony of Faith from Côte d’Ivoire by Gueti Philippe & Oko Paulyn

Respected and beloved Cheon Il Guk leaders and blessed family members! How are you? I am Masatate Kajikuri, Director of the Missions Department at the World Missions Headquarters. It is a pleasure to welcome you.
Today, I offer my deepest respect and gratitude to all the blessed family members who are offering ceaseless jeongseong toward True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind, both here at the Cheon Shim Won Main Sanctuary and all across the world. ‘Cheon Shim Won’, which True Mother has granted us, is the miraculous starting point where the works of the spirit world begin and the cradle of new life.
Today, I would like to share with you a story of an amazing mission victory that came from the Heavenly Africa Continent, and the incredible jeongseong invested in that process.
Today, I would like to introduce Brother Philippe Gueti and his wife, Sister Paulyn Oko, who are active in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. This precious couple received the Blessing in 2012 and is a beautiful family with four Second Generation children.
In 2016, holding the mission of ‘Heavenly Tribal Messiah’ given by True Mother deep in their hearts, the couple moved to a remote, unfamiliar area called ‘Zouan-Hounien’, located 680 km away from the economic capital, Abidjan.
However, the reality there was bleak. There was not a single church of ours in that region. The couple struggled desperately to introduce True Parents and teach the Word among strangers. They knocked on doors house by house, handed out flyers, and invited people. But people’s responses were cold. Even when they prepared for events with all their heart, it was impossible to gather even just 6 couples.
On some days, not a single person came to the education venue, leaving the couple to stare at the empty chairs and shed endless tears. Brother Philippe Gueti confesses his devastating feelings at that time: “Looking at the empty room where no one came, I began to lose hope. A deep sense of defeat washed over me, making me feel that I could never succeed in this mission given by True Mother. I just wanted to give up on everything.”
At the very edge of human limitation, when thoughts of giving up arose, this couple knelt before Heaven.
They began offering a jeongseong condition of a 3-day fast, 12-minute prayers, and 40 bows. During this period of jeongseong, Brother Philippe Gueti received precious inspiration from Heaven. While offering jeongseong, (click) he received a revelation that they could only achieve victory if they gained the cooperation of the local community leaders. Guided by this inspiration, the couple took courage and went to visit the paramount chief of the region. However, the chief refused to meet them twice.
But the Gueti couple did not stop there. From that day on, for an entire month, without missing a single day, they entered into a ‘Cheon Shim Won Vigil Jeongseong’. They cried out in Cheon Shim Won, drenched in sweat and tears. Calling out the name of the chief they were trying to meet countless times, they offered resonance prayers so that the spirit world could cooperate.
To the Cheon Shim Won jeongseong offered by this couple in the midst of extreme despair, the spirit world finally responded suddenly.
One day, just as the month-long Cheon Shim Won jeongseong concluded, the couple’s phone rang. Amazingly, it was the secretary of the chief who had rejected them so severely.
“The chief wants to meet you right now.”
Just three days after finishing their Cheon Shim Won prayers, the chief contacted them first! The spirit world had completely melted the chief’s hardened heart!
With trembling voices, the Gueti couple introduced the program titled ‘True Families that Heal the World’. Hearing the Word, the chief was deeply moved and readily accepted, saying, “Please hold this wonderful event right in my village!”
In that barren land where it was difficult to gather even 6 couples, a miracle occurred where 35 families received the Blessing under the full support of the paramount chief! (Applause)
This victory was not the end, but the beginning. Moved by the grace he received, the chief took the lead himself and began introducing the couple to numerous chiefs and neighbors in nearby villages. This fire, ignited by the Cheon Shim Won jeongseong, spread throughout the entire Zouan-Hounien region. The Blessing of 35 families became 100 families, then 200 families, and finally led to a grand victory of blessing 430 families!
Furthermore, to help local youth become self-reliant, this couple established a ‘Sewing Training Center’, becoming socially respected leaders.
Finally, after 8 years, the couple was proclaimed as Heavenly Tribal Messiahs in 2023, and in February 2026, they were gloriously registered as a ‘Cheonbo Family’! (Applause)
The couple did not just stop at the Blessing victory; based on the foundation of the Heavenly Tribal Messiah, they gradually started Sunday services. And to better educate the members, they finally established a ‘Home Church’. Through these devoted educational activities,
Currently, at the Zouan-Hounien Home Church, 2 to 3 young people receive the grace of participating in the Cosmic Blessing Ceremony every year.
Passing through this entire process of miracles, Brother Philippe Gueti confesses the greatest lesson he learned: “Despite the various difficulties we faced on the ground, my wife and I were always able to become one by participating together in the Cheon Shim Won Vigil Jeongseong and sharing our faith. Seeing these desperate prayers and victorious results, I became certain that the good spirit world is with us and ready to help us reach our goals. We offer all the glory to Heavenly Parent and True Parents for allowing us to achieve the goal of a Cheonbo Family.” (Applause)
Beloved family members! No matter how blocked the road ahead may be, when we pray desperately at Cheon Shim Won just like Brother Philippe Gueti, Heaven will surely open the path of victory for us. Mission work bound by human wisdom and strength will inevitably reach a limit. The only way to transcend human limitations and create miracles is to follow the guidance of Heavenly Parent, and (click) the best way to draw that guidance is precisely through Cheon Shim Won jeongseong. The World Missions Headquarters will continue to become one with Cheon Shim Won and share with you the reports of victory blooming in mission fields around the world.
In particular, while we have been sharing examples of witnessing victories through Cheon Shim Won jeongseong until now, moving forward, we will do our best to actively discover and share stories of how Cheon Shim Won jeongseong heals the lives of each and every family member and brings happiness into full bloom.
I earnestly pray that Heavenly Parent’s great love and the absolute protection of the spirit world will eternally be with the families of all leaders and members who joined this graceful Cheon Shim Won Vigil Jeongseong today, and with this, I conclude the Hyojeong Report.
