CLEEVE HOUSE, WILTSHIRE, UK — The historical grounds of Cleeve House are buzzing with energy as the annual Family Camp officially kicked off, running from July 24 to July 29.

Bringing together families, youth, and volunteers from across the United Kingdom, including international visitors traveling from Alabama US, Spain, and Korea, the week-long gathering celebrates community, connection, and spirited tradition across all generations.

A Gathering Built on Community

Now a staple summer tradition, Family Camp relies entirely on the dedication of volunteers who organize a rich program tailored for every age group. From outdoor adventures and creative workshops to shared meals and evening campfires, the atmosphere is defined by shared heritage and cross-cultural friendship.

“To see families traveling from across the ocean and across Europe to build connections here in the Wiltshire countryside is standard for Family Camp, but inspiring every single year.”

The Battle of the Trades: Four Teams Head to Head

A central highlight of this year’s program is the high-stakes annual team competition. Excitement has reached a fever pitch as four trade-inspired teams square off in games, relays, and skill challenges:

  • The Welders — Firing up the competition with strong teamwork and precision.
  • The Carpenters — Building solid leads with steady strategy and grit.
  • The Potters — Shaping impressive comebacks under pressure.
  • The Masons — Laying down a strong foundation for victory.

With activities in full swing, points are tightly contested, and the coveted championship title remains entirely up for grabs leading into the final days.

As July 29 approaches, participants are preparing for the grand finale and award ceremony, where one team will take home bragging rights for the year ahead—though all agree the true win is the lifelong memories made along the way.
