In a stirring showcase of unity and spiritual endurance, the Armenian community gathered on September 26 for a remarkable journey up Mount Teghenis (Mt. Megherit) as part of the global Peace Road initiative. Organized by the Family Federation, the expedition brought together a intergenerational group of 16 participants—ranging in age from 11 to 54—all united in a shared effort to conquer the rugged terrain and elevate both mind and spirit toward the mountain’s soaring 2,851-meter summit.

The trek was far more than a physical endeavor; it was a deep journey of solidarity spanning nearly 20 kilometers across Armenia’s breathtaking landscape. As twilight faded into night, the team faced its ultimate test, navigating the final 3.4 kilometers in complete darkness. Guided by trust, mutual support, and shared resolve under the night sky, the group pressed forward to the finish line—a powerful, living experience of perseverance, deep fellowship, and divine protection.

What truly illuminated the trek was the vibrant youth and community connection forged along the trail. Among the 16 hikers, 10 were under the age of 22, and 10 joined through HTM activities, highlighting a dynamic young generation eager to connect through faith in action. The mountain became far more than a destination; it served as a living sanctuary where new friendships were forged, bonds were strengthened, and faith was experienced together in every shared step.
