CASCAIS, Portugal — From August 18 to 22, 2026, the coastal municipality of Cascais hosted 43 young participants for the annual HARP and CARP Summer Workshop. Held in an immersive camping format, the five-day gathering brought together dedicated youth, including seven first-time guests, under the empowering motto: “Do not adapt to the world. Transform it.”
The workshop combined outdoor living with meaningful spiritual reflection. Mornings began surrounded by nature for Hoon Dok Hae and devotions, grounding the group before they transitioned into educational sessions. Lecturers addressed essential topics tailored to youth development, including God’s identity, tradition, restoration, sexual purity, healthy relationships, and personal responsibility.
The week balanced serious study with vibrant community-building highlights. Participants refreshed themselves with swimming pool activities and tackled challenges together during a teamwork-focused Treasure Hunt across the campsite. The spiritual centerpiece of the workshop arrived during the Shim Jeong Prayer Meeting, an uplifting evening where participants gathered to pray directly for one another, forging deep emotional and spiritual bonds. The gathering concluded as a transformative week marked by lasting friendships, personal learning, and a profound connection to nature. Armed with new insights and shared experiences, the youth left Cascais motivated to carry the workshop’s core message back into their communities and actively transform the world around them
