albania workshop 2

By FFWPU Albania

As part of the ongoing six-month missionary program, the Albanian Top Gun team successfully hosted a three-day workshop from May 29 to May 31. Centered on the core theme of “Responsibility,” the workshop aimed to redefine the concept of duty from mere task-completion to a profound sense of personal ownership and initiative. Through a combination of lectures, testimonies, reflections, and practical challenges, participants were empowered to take an active, observant role in serving their environment and community.

The event was attended by a total of 37 participants. The diverse group of attendees fostered a deeply collaborative and unifying environment and included:

  • Albanian Missionaries
  • Members from the EMPOWER program
  • Members from Sun Moon UPA (Universal Peace Academy)

The educational approach of the workshop combined traditional learning with experiential challenges. Participants were encouraged to shift their perspective on what it means to be responsible:

  • Developing Ownership: Rather than waiting to receive specific instructions or assigned tasks, participants were taught to take initiative.
  • Proactive Service: Attendees were invited to actively observe their surroundings to identify and act upon opportunities to contribute and serve others.

The 3:00 AM Water Challenge

At three o’clock in the morning, participants were awakened to carry buckets of water. This physically demanding task served as a powerful symbol of bearing the weight of responsibility.

The experience facilitated deep reflection, helping participants realize that responsibility is not a burden to be ignored or postponed, but rather a profound blessing to be embraced.

“Fight for God”

This deeply moving, interactive activity was designed to represent the spiritual journey and the challenges inherent in a life of faith.

  • The Setup: Each participant selected three individuals to physically represent the obstacles preventing them from drawing closer to God. A fourth individual was chosen to represent God.
  • The Challenge: Participants had to actively overcome these physical and emotional obstacles to reach and embrace the person representing God.
  • Takeaway: This exercise became a powerful breakthrough moment, allowing participants to connect more intimately with God’s heart and determination.

The three-day workshop concluded with a powerful shift in perspective and a renewed sense of purpose among the attendees. The Albanian missionaries and participating members left with a deep, unified commitment to become true owners of Heavenly Albania. Empowered by their new understanding of proactive ownership, they are now prepared to take greater, self-directed responsibility for the providence moving forward.
