The Sung Hwa Year-End Workshop 2025 was successfully held from December 27 to 30 at the Sun Hwa International Academy (SHIA). The four-day event, organized by the Philippine Blessed Children Department (PBCD), gathered 65 participants and staff members from across the nation, as well as international representatives from Mongolia and Russia.
Guided by the internal theme “Let us become Pure Water united with Holy Mother Han!” and the external motto “Be the True Owner of My Community: You’re not alone, You belong,” the workshop provided a sacred space for reflection, spiritual renewal, and growth.
Purpose and Program Highlights
The workshop aimed to cultivate “Pure Waters”—youth who can ripple true love and goodness throughout the world. The curriculum was designed to help participants deeply experience the Shimjeong (heart) of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, rediscover their divine identity, and take active ownership of their local communities.
Key activities blended physical engagement with spiritual depth, including:
- The Pure Water Festival (Run for Mission) and Pure Water Show.
- Chanyang (praise) sessions and deep prayer vigils.
- Goal-setting exercises culminating in “Dream Speeches,” where participants declared their visions for the future.
Leadership and Education
A series of lectures from dedicated leaders provided the participants with a roadmap for their spiritual journey:
- Rev. Edgar Tanate spoke on “Never Ending Story,” focusing on inner resilience.
- Dr. Julius Malicdem (Vice Continental Director, FFWPU Asia-Pacific) explored “Blessed Children Identity and the Current Providence,” anchoring the youth in their purpose.
- Rev. Ronnie Sodusta (Regional Director, FFWPU Philippines) emphasized the responsibility of community building.
- Mrs. Hiromi Silong (PBCD Adviser) provided guidance on Pure Love and the Blessing.
- Rev. Ninoi Avila (Future Generation Director, Asia-Pacific) concluded the workshop with “Ownership Training,” calling the youth to take concrete responsibility for their faith and dreams.
Participant Testimonies
“A Powerful Sense of Belonging” “This is the best workshop I have attended as a second-generation member. I have long yearned to be loved and to learn from my brothers and sisters, but I did not expect the program to be this powerful. I feel enlightened. Through the lectures and activities, I deeply felt that I belong to a community where Heavenly Parent wants us to dwell. As the new year begins, my hope is to live centered on the Principle and take full ownership of the purpose God has prepared for me.” — Christopher L. Ugwu Jr., 19, Cavite Family Church
“Developing a Parental Heart” “This was a meaningful journey of overcoming challenges and pushing my limits. I truly grew my parental heart, learning how to guide and care for others despite our differences. I realized that spreading the Shimjeong of Heavenly Parent and True Parents requires constant effort and uplifting others even when I am tired. I am grateful for these challenges because they allowed me to grow in ways I never thought possible. My resolution is to offer sincere devotion to my local community and support PBCD activities with gratitude and love for Holy Mother Han.” — Staff Member Reflection
