Seonghwa Ceremony for Rev. Zin-moon Kim, National Messiah of Antigua and Barbuda
Rev. Zin Moon Kim (김진문), National Messiah to Antigua and Barbuda, ascended to the spirit world just after 9 o’clock in the morning (Korea time) on Thursday, March 3, 2016 (1.25 by the heavenly calendar). Rev. Kim and his wife Pak Gwi-ok were blessed as one of the 430 Couples in 1968. Rev. Kim is survived by his wife and four children. He was 77 years old.
During his many years of front line service to God, True Parents and the Unification Church and Family Federation movement, Rev. Kim held posts as missionary, regional leader, and itinerary worker in various continents, regional president of North America continent in the 1990s, and late regional president of South and Central America, in keeping with his national messiah country of Antigua and Barbuda, a Caribbean island nation. He was vice-president of the Word Mission Office when it was based in New York in the early-mid 1990s, and then again after the office moved to Korea, since which time he made his base in his homeland of Korea.
Rev. Kim’s final years were spent relatively quietly. Some years ago he suffered a serious stroke, but had bravely recovered through much perseverance. In addition to attending many church-related events, Rev. Kim was writing his autobiography. He was working on his book when he collapsed at home on Thursday morning, shortly before he ascended to the heavenly realms at the Cheongshim International Medical Center.
His Seonghwa Ceremony was held on March 5, 2016 at 7:00 am, at the Asan Hospital Funeral Home in Seoul and his body interreded at the Paju Wonjeon with a service at 11:00 am on the same day.
