The idea for this trip began when I listened to True Mother speaking at the Victory Celebration after her speech in Vienna at the end of April. During that celebration True Mother spoke of her deep love for brothers and sisters and expressed the wish that she would love to be with each one of us but had only one body. I understood that all of us who stand in a leadership position are obliged to be True Parents’ “body” in reaching out to and caring for our brothers and sisters as they work for the Providence.
My trip began in St. Petersburg together with Special International Itinerant Worker Dr. Lan Young Moon. I then traveled to the Urals city of Yekaterinburg, to the Siberian capital of Novosibirsk, to the city of Irkutsk, near Lake Baikal, where 21 youth are on a special Principle education program. I then travelled to Khabarovsk city on the border with China and to the far eastern port city of Vladivostok. I also used the opportunity, while in Vladivostok, to visit the Russian border with North Korea and China in the small Russian town of Khasan, to pray for the peaceful reunification of Korea.
Below are photos taken during my trip showing members in each community as well as our Second Generation participating in the yearly Baikal Project:
