POLAND, WARSAW, July 20 – 26 — Against the backdrop of an evolving regional landscape, a vibrant dynamic unfolded in the Polish capital this week as twenty young people from Ukraine and Poland gathered for an immersive journey into heritage, faith, and fellowship. The week-long workshop, centered on the theme “Root: Education and Traditions,” brought together teens aged 14 to 17 for an intensive program designed to deepen cultural understanding and build lasting cross-border ties.
Guided by a team of experienced leaders and mentors, the gathering struck a balance between reflective learning and energetic youth engagement. Daily educational sessions invited participants to explore foundational principles and shared traditions, creating a space to discuss identity and community resilience. These intellectual discussions were paired with lively sports tournaments, creative skits, and spontaneous dance circles, filling the venue with laughter and shared energy.
As day turned to night, the atmosphere shifted to one of quiet reflection during worship evenings. These moments allowed the teenagers to connect on a deeper emotional level, finding common ground and mutual support across cultural and language lines.
By the close of the week, what began as a gathering of strangers transformed into a close-knit cohort. Participants departed Warsaw with strengthened bonds and expressed overwhelming enthusiasm for maintaining their newly forged connections, laying the groundwork for a continued, supportive youth network spanning both nations.
