Event Overview
On March 28, 2026, students from the Sun Hwa HJ Global Education Center, Heavenly Top Gun (HTG) missionaries from Korea, and students from Sun Hwa International Academy (SHIA) joined forces for a Community Cleaning Service Project.
Held at the Sun Hwa International Academy campus, the event brought together 30 enthusiastic participants. The group included six HTG missionaries and approximately 20 SHIA students, all of whom participated with joy and energy.
Leadership & Participation
The project was graced by the active participation of SHIA’s leadership team, including:
- Rev. Jaime Vergara, President of SHIA
- Mrs. Mariflor Gavaran, SHIA Principal
- Mr. Robert Mendoza, SHIA Administrator
Rev. Jaime Vergara highlighted the importance of the initiative, noting that such service projects are vital for young people. He emphasized that these activities help youth develop the heart of “living for the sake of others,” moving beyond mere words to practical action and application.
Unity in Action
The atmosphere was one of total unity. Participants worked diligently to beautify the campus, demonstrating a seamless collaboration between the Korean missionaries and the SHIA students and leaders.
Following the cleaning project, the HTG missionaries hosted a Language Exchange Program. The SHIA students enjoyed learning:
- Basic Korean self-introductions.
- An upbeat, traditional Korean song.
Conclusion
The event was a resounding success. Beyond the physical cleaning, the program fostered deep bonds and meaningful “free talking” sessions. Participants expressed a strong desire to hold similar events in the future, concluding that despite coming from different countries, they are all brothers and sisters—One Family under Heavenly Parents and True Parents. Aju!
