FFWPU Nigeria held a two-days and seven-days workshop in Okuku Community in Yala LOCAL GOVERNMENT, Cross River State, Nigeria. The two workshops were facilitated by the Sub-Regional Director West Africa – Rev. George Ogurie and the national leader of Nigeria – Rev. Imo Nkanta. The workshop gathered 40 participants from eight communities in Cross River State and Benue State where HTM Blessings had been done in the past. They were pastors and community leaders who had received the Blessing and needed further education on the principle and heavenly tradition. They were being prepared to be spokespersons for Family Federation and True Parents in their communities. They were clearly told their mission is to proclaim True Parents and make their communities know and attend Heavenly Parent and True Parents. 

The workshop started with two special lectures given by Rev. George Ogurie, sub-regional Director for FFWPU Sub-Region West, on the “Myths and Misconceptions” about the Unification movement and the Trends in Family Crisis in Nigeria. Interesting topics which opened the way for the study of the Divine Principle curriculum for 2-day and 7-day workshop. Rev. Imo Nkanta, Nigeria national Leader, emphasized to them their duty as new providential central persons in their communities and families.

They received lectures on True Father and True Mother’s life course, as well a deep lecture on the Blessing and the Cheonbo providence and watched movies about them.

The participants were eager and delighted to discover the teaching of the Divine Principle and deepen their understanding of God and His providence. They promised to keep the Blessing and become exemplary leaders and pastors for their communities.

At the end, the participants having passed a Divine Principle test, received their certificates of graduation as well as a copy of True Mother’s Memoir each. And thirty of them promptly signed up for an upcoming 21-day workshop.
