A 3-day retreat was held in Ghana by the Subregional YSD Director, Mr. Woosung Gueli, with the aim of inspiring and reigniting youth activities among internal members of the HPHC in Ghana. It was held at The Kathrina Stinard Training Centre in Accra, although during the opening ceremony, five other participants from the Western region connected via zoom.
At the opening ceremony, Rev. George Ogurie gave the opening remarks online. Then most of the other activities happened onsite in the Training Center in Accra.
The retreat started from 28th to the 30th of December 2022, with 21 participants in Accra, of which 12 were boys and 10 were girls between the ages of 14 to 30.
The retreat was scheduled with different lectures delivered by The YSD Sub Regional Director, Mr. Woosung Gueli, The Special Youth Envoy in sub-region 2, Mr. Godson Ogurie and the National leader, Rev. James Adu. The activities also comprised of fun activities including indoors and outdoors games. Each day was aligned with different sessions.

The morning sessions always began with Hoondokae followed by aerobics, physical exercises, cleaning and breakfast.
The afternoon sessions entailed icebreakers, lectures, Divine Principle talks, lectures on Blessing, discussion on youth issues in Ghana and solutions, Ghanaian youth contributions to Cheon Won Gung, current providence centering on True Mother.
The youth had lunch together and they took part in indoor games such as burst my ankle, rock-paper-scissors, pick and act, holy song challenge among boys and girls. Also, the evening sessions participants shared their reflections, they had discussions, dinner, movie night and prayers to close the day.
The retreat came to an end on the final day with a lecture on the problems the youth face, the root of those problems and solutions to them. There were also indoor games like Scrabble, Ludo and other local game , Heart sharing, reflection writing and picture taking to conclude.
During the closing ceremony, the Vice National leader, Mrs Whyte share words of encouragement with all the participants and encourage them to take bold steps in supporting the providence henceforth.
The YSD Sub Regional Director received three symbolic gifts from the National leader, The Vice national leader and Mrs. Andrea Whyte representing the members, the mothers and the youth respectively on behalf of the Ghana church, then another one from Ms. Andrea Whyte, representing all the members, the mothers and the youth of Ghana respectively.
This 3-day retreat was fun, exciting, inspiring and educative so it should be organized more often to unite and revive the youth of Ghana. Ghana mission command the YSD Sub Region Director for coming all the way from Benin Republic to encourage the youth and give joy to our True Mother.
