On June 17 to 19 2022, the Dominican Republic IAYSP led by IAYSP leader Mr. Frank Felix de la Cruz began a 3-day seminar for the young members of the IAYSP and their guests under the title: I came here with a purpose. The aim was to promoting values and principles to young people so that they live according to principle and can fulfill the ideal of creation. And it was intended to be done during school and university vacations.
In this seminar the participants were divided into two groups: young people who had previously received the divine principle and the young people who came for the first time.
The speakers for the first group were Mr. Bernardo Cruz, national leader and the Rev. Pasquale Lai, national messiah of Saint Kitts and Nevis and the speakers for the group of newcomers were Mr. Carlos Hernández, CARP leader in the Dominican Republic and Mr. Hope Gomez Yamaguchi, second generation leader in the Dominican Republic.
Youth who came before focused on deepening the teachings of the Divine principle until the historical periods and chapter 6 the second arrival.
While the new youth received series of teachings from Character Education to love and sexuality. Later, we had divine principle education starting from the principles of creation to the restoration.
Seminar was held in the mango capital, Banì in a recreation center which was offered by one of our carp members who is now a blessed family in Orden, so that all the youth can enjoy as well as gain internal knowledge. We had many challenges, learning, visits and sharing.
The atmosphere was very good. In the daily reflections, participants mentioned that they liked that type of environment where the staff treated them as if they had known them before as family. They also expressed that the conferences for them were really good and enriching for their lives that they did not want them to end.
In the end they stated that they would not hesitate to return at the next seminar to continue with the conferences.
