We held a Divine Principle workshop on June 11, 2022 at InterContinental Hotels Group “Crown Plaza”- Santo Domingo with 70 participants. This seminar began with the invocation of MC Margarita Cornielle, followed by Dr. Diana Contreras giving a few words of welcome, expressing that she has been part of the WFWP since 1999 and sees how most members need less material to be spiritually happy, that is to say
After the words of Welcome, Pastor Teodule Silfa gave a few words of Congratulations, he began by talking about when the WFWP began and its status, he expressed women together to create a culture of peace in the family, community, the nation and the world and to achieve a genuine and sustainable peace before God. He expressed his congratulations for an event like this taking place in the midst of confusion these days. He thanked Rev. Moon and his wife for showing us through these institutions that it is worth moving forward, always centered on God. He express his congratulations to our movement.
Rev. Kono gave a few words of Motivation. He stated that this seminar is for ambassadors for Peace, he said that the title of ambassador for Peace is greater than that of a deputy, senator, even that of a president of a nation and that they must understand that now is the time to ambassadors for peace He also emphasized how special the nation of the Dominican Republic is for carrying God on its flag and that this flag symbolizes the Homeland of God. True Parents always emphasized that we must know God’s will. Rev. Kono expressed that God wanted to make the Dominican Republic a number one model nation in the world for Peace. “Today we are here to learn the new truth to build a world of Peace and please learn it to make the Dominican Republic a model nation, number one for peace”.
Rev. Leonidas Regional Director of the Caribbean for the FFWPU made a presentation of the Activities that UPF is carrying out at the level of the Dominican Republic and at the end he presented a video of the victorious Family Festival held in 2019 where very important personalities met heads of states from different Latin American countries.
After all those presentations by those great leaders, we had the first conference of this seminar entitled “Principles of Creation” was given by the Secretary General of UPF and also an educator of the FFWPU, that same morning another conference was given entitled, “Origin of Conflicts” these conferences were very well given and were very well received by the public, who were very attentive.
After lunch, Mrs. Miho Okazaki, in charge of public relations for the WFWP, presented the Activities of the WFWP.
After that presentation, Mr. Regalado gave the last conference of the day entitled: “Towards an Ideal World of Peace”. Although the conference was extensive, the participants were very attentive to those words of truth that Mr. Regalado so devotedly shared with each of them.
At the end there was a session of questions and comments where several of them asked and commented on their concerns. One of the participants, Joselyn Herrera Martínez, who works in the community area, expressed her satisfaction with the seminar and wants to know how to put it into practice. That question was very well answered and the Women’s Federation is willing to work together when called upon. Mr. Jesús Peralta, President of the Fishermen’s Association, and Mrs. Karen Ricardo, candidate for the presidency of the Dominican Republic, also gave their positive opinions.
The event concluded successfully with the signing of the UPF and WFWP Declaration. The content of the seminar was a summary of the Divine Principle.
