Beloved and esteemed blessed families throughout the world,

May is a month during which many nations celebrate Mother’s Day and reflect upon the love, sacrifice, and devotion shared within the family. Here in Korea, the homeland of our faith, this season carries a special depth of meaning, as Children’s Day, Parents’ Day, and Teachers’ Day follow one after another, offering us occasions to express our heartfelt gratitude to family members and to all who have walked alongside us on the journey of our life.

In this beautiful month of May, I pray that the love and grace of our Heavenly Parent may rest ever more fully upon the blessed families of the world, so that every home may be filled with the fragrance of gratitude and happiness.

1. Overview and Results of the 2026 Global Mission Recognition Ceremony

This week, I would like to reflect with you on the key outcomes and significance of the 2026 Global Mission Recognition Ceremony, held in commemoration of the 66^th Anniversary of True Parents’ Holy Wedding and the first Anniversary of the Entrance into the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum, as well as the providential background to this initiative and the direction it will take from now.

The ceremony was held on Sunday, May 3, the day following the anniversary celebration and Blessing Ceremony, and connected the event venue at the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center and participants online. The awards ceremony drew more than 440 Cheon Il Guk pastors from around the world.

Around the time of the Entrance Ceremony last year, the World Mission Headquarters adopted as its guiding slogan, “Church Growth through Pastoral Care and Witnessing.” This initiative set forth a new standard of healthy church growth—one that pursues not merely numerical increase, but the qualitative maturation of the church community alongside its quantitative expansion.

To put this into practice, churches around the world were grouped into four categories, with each church guided to establish goals appropriate to its size and circumstances:

• “Pastoral churches,” centered on qualitative spiritual maturity;
• “Witnessing churches,” focused on quantitative growth;
• “Developing communities,” pursuing qualitative and quantitative growth in harmony; and
• “Pioneer churches,” dedicated to establishing the foundations for mission outreach.

Taking the Entrance Ceremony as a turning point, this represents a new paradigm shift—moving the central axis of our mission strategy from the continental level to the local church level, and from quantitative expansion to qualitative maturity. In this way, our community is being guided toward a more mature stage of growth.

As a result, some 550 churches around the world established goals according to their respective categories. Through this ceremony, a total of 43 churches that fulfilled their designated goals received recognition, comprising 18 pastoral churches, 10 witnessing churches, 12 developing communities, and 3 pioneer churches.

In addition, 34 churches that did not fully attain their designated benchmark goals, but nonetheless demonstrated balanced fruitfulness across pastoral ministry, witnessing, community life, and other areas, were presented with the Encouragement Award based on a fair and comprehensive evaluation.

Furthermore, in order to honor exemplary models of community development, special awards were presented in five categories: the revitalization of Cheonbo Family Churches, financial transparency, youth ministry, young professional networks, and sustainable social impact. Five churches that distinguished themselves in these areas were honored with the Excellence Award.

2. Beautiful Small Narratives of Church Growth

I would like to share two of the beautiful and inspiring stories, about the churches that received the Achievement Award and Excellence Award.

Rev. John Jackson of the Arkansas Church in the United States has led a remarkable revival among the younger generation, centering his ministry on True Parents’ message of “Spirit and Truth.” 

Without a church building of its own, the community opened a small café in a local shopping mall and transformed the space behind it into a Cheonshim Won prayer room and worship space, making it a living base for witnessing and for bringing souls to new life.

From there, first- and second-generation members came together to host university “game nights,” men’s and women’s faith-sharing gatherings, and Principle-based Bible studies, through which they conveyed the true mission of Jesus and the value of True Parents. Moved by the warmth they encountered and the truth they received, many young people have found their way to the church, and these works are quietly unfolding under the grace of God as they prepare to receive the Blessing.

Rev. Hyun Shin Chasseriaux(현신 샤쎄기오) of the Hong Kong Church turned his heart not toward pressing weary members with religious duty amid the demands of city life, but toward helping each person uncover and bring to flower the gifts Heaven had placed within them.

To this end, he cultivated a vibrant “club culture” within the church—Tong-Il Moo Do, computer programming, reading circles, and more—creating spaces where members could offer their skills and passions with joy. Step by step, the church was transformed into a warm community of sharing and growth.

No longer a place people came simply out of obligation, the church became a community of joy where members discovered their own God-given worth and learned to love one another more freely. In that atmosphere, hearts began to move on their own, without coercion, and something beautiful took root: our members began embracing honored guests as brothers and sisters, and treating members like dignitaries, living out a genuine culture of heart.

3. A Shift in Mission Strategy and the Transformation of Community Culture

Beloved members,

We stand today at a new turning point. We are moving beyond the time when we strive only toward the grand ideals and visions of the providence, and stepping into the age of the firm settlement of Cheon Il Guk, an age in which we are called to discover and weave together the small yet living stories of success that are blossoming within each church and each mission field.

A new era is opening—one in which the concrete stories of transformation and growth unfolding across local regions, churches, families, and the rising generation are being woven together into a single great living narrative: the story of the true sons and daughters of Cheon Il Guk. In other words, we are moving beyond the time during which we set our sights only on distant grand visions, and entering the era in which the quiet accumulation of small victories and real change on the ground has itself become the very proof of the substantial, living providence.

This shift in perspective will not stop at the level of a change in policy. It will bring about a seismic transformation throughout the culture of our community. Within that change, new narratives will emerge, stories that touch the human heart and stir something true and lasting in all who encounter them. It is my conviction that these living stories, gathered one by one, will become the new history of our community that future generations will inherit.

4. This Week’s Practice: Sharing the “Small Narratives” of Our Community

Beloved members,

This week, I invite you to do one simple thing: share a small story of victory with someone around you. If you have witnessed even a quiet change, a moment of sincere devotion, an act of service or sacrifice in your church, in your family, or on the mission field, please do not let it pass unnoticed. Encourage one another and share these stories with those around you.

And if you would also share these precious, warmhearted stories with the World Mission Headquarters, we will look for the opportunity to convey them to blessed families around the world.

For even a great history is built, in the end, upon the quiet accumulation of small acts of faith and love carried out without recognition. The story of love that each of you carry is among the most precious treasures illuminating Cheon Il Guk, and a vital force shaping the future.

As this year’s Global Mission Recognition Ceremony has shown us, Heaven remembers not only the outcome, but also the heart and devotion woven into every step of the journey. And so my deepest hope for this week is simply this: that we become a community that blesses and celebrates one another’s small victories—and that, in so doing, we write together the living narrative of a true culture of heart.

존경하고 사랑하는 전 세계 축복가정 여러분,

5월은 많은 나라에서 ‘어머니의 날’을 기념하며 가족의 사랑과 은혜를 되새기는 달입니다. 특별히 신앙의 조국 대한민국은 어린이날, 어버이날, 스승의날 등 가족과 삶의 길을 함께해 주신 분들께 감사의 마음을 전하는 뜻깊은 날들이 이어지는 특별한 달입니다.

이 아름다운 5월, 전 세계 축복가정 위에 하늘부모님의 사랑과 은총이 더욱 충만히 함께하시어, 가정마다 감사와 행복의 향기가 깊어지는 시간이 되시기를 기원드립니다.

1. 교회성장 시상식 개요 및 결과

이번 주에는 천주성혼 66주년 및 천원궁 천일성전 입궁 1주년을 기념하여 개최된 ‘2026 교회성장 시상식’의 주요 결과와 그 의미, 그리고 시상식이 갖는 선교적 배경과 향후 방향성에 대해 함께 나누고자 합니다.

이번 시상식은 기념식 및 축복식 익일인 5월 3일(일), HJ천주천보수련원과 온라인을 연결한 가운데 전 세계 440여 명의 천일국의 목회자들이 참석한 가운데 거행되었습니다. 세계선교본부는 이번 시상식을 준비하며 ‘목회와 전도를 통한 교회성장’을 핵심 슬로건으로 설정하고, 단순한 수적 증가를 넘어 교회의 질적 성숙과 양적 성장을 함께 추구하는 ‘건강한 교회성장’을 새로운 기준으로 제시한 바 있습니다.

이를 위해 전 세계 교회들을 질적 성숙을 중심으로 하는 ‘정착교회’, 양적 성장을 중심으로 하는 ‘확장교회’, 질적·양적 성장을 함께 추구하는 ‘대형교회’, 선교 기반 구축에 초점을 둔 ‘개척교회’의 네 가지 유형으로 구분하고, 각 교회 규모와 환경에 맞는 목표를 설정하도록 안내하였습니다.

이는 입궁식을 기점으로, 선교전략의 중심축을 대륙 단위에서 교회 단위로, 양적 성장에서 질적 성숙으로 전환하며 우리 공동체가 한층 더 성숙한 방향으로 나아가는 새로운 패러다임의 전환을 이루어내고 있습니다.

그 결과 전 세계 약 550개 교회가 각 유형별 목표를 설정하였으며, 이번 시상에서는 정착교회 18개, 확장교회 10개, 대형교회 12개, 개척교회 3개 등 총 43개 교회가 목표를 달성하여 ‘달성상’을 수상하게 되었습니다.

이와 함께 지표상 목표를 완전히 달성하지는 못하였으나, 목회·전도·공동체 운영 등 다양한 영역에서 균형 잡힌 성과를 보여준 총 32개 교회에는 보다 공정한 종합평가 점수를 바탕으로 ‘장려상’을 수여하였습니다.

또한 공동체의 모범적 발전 사례를 격려하기 위해 천보가정교회 활성화, 재정 투명성, 미래세대 목회, 청년 전문가 네트워크, 그리고 지속가능한 사회적 임팩트 등 5개 부문에 대해 특별 시상을 진행하였으며, 각 영역에서 탁월한 성과를 보인 5개 교회가 ‘공동체 모범상’ 수상의 영예를 안게 되었습니다.

2. 교회성장의 아름다운 작은 서사들

여기서 이번에 목표달성상과 공동체 모범상을 수상한 교회들의 아름다운 작은 서사들을 잠시 소개드리고자 합니다.

미국 아칸소 교회 존 잭슨 목사는 참부모님께서 강조하신 ‘신령과 진리’의 말씀을 중심으로 청년 세대의 놀라운 부흥을 이루어내고 있습니다. 교회 건물조차 없는 환경 속에서도 쇼핑몰에 작은 커피숍을 열고, 그 뒷공간에 천심원과 예배실을 마련하여 생명을 살리는 전도의 거점으로 세웠습니다. 이후 1세와 2세가 하나 되어 대학생 대상 ‘게임의 밤’과 남성·여성별 신앙 나눔 모임, 그리고 원리강론 기반의 성서연구를 통해 예수님의 참된 사명과 참부모님의 가치를 전해왔습니다. 그 따뜻한 심정문화와 진리의 힘에 감동받은 수많은 청년들이 새롭게 교회에 연결되어 축복을 준비하는 은혜로운 역사가 펼쳐지고 있습니다.

홍콩교회 현신 목사는 바쁜 도시 생활에 지친 식구들에게 신앙의 의무만을 강조하기보다, 하늘이 각자에게 부여해 주신 재능을 발견하고 꽃피우는 일에 마음을 쏟았습니다. 식구들이 자신의 기술과 취미를 기쁨으로 봉헌할 수 있도록 통일무도, 프로그래밍, 독서 모임 등 다양한 ‘클럽 문화’를 조성하며, 교회를 따뜻한 성장과 나눔의 공간으로 만들어 갔습니다. 그러자 교회는 더 이상 의무적으로 찾아오는 장소가 아니라, 자신의 가치를 발견하고 사랑을 나누는 기쁨의 공동체가 되었습니다. 그 속에서 식구들은 억지로 이끌리지 않아도 스스로 심정이 움직여, VIP를 식구처럼 품고 식구를 VIP처럼 섬기는 아름다운 심정문화를 실천하고 있습니다.

3. 선교 전략 변화와 공동체 문화의 전환

식구 여러분,

우리는 지금, 섭리라는 거대한 이상과 비전을 향해 달려가던 시대를 넘어, 천일국 안착 시대 속에서 각 교회와 현장 가운데 실제로 피어나고 있는 작지만 살아 있는 승리의 서사들을 연결해 가야 하는 새로운 전환점에 서 있습니다.

이제는 각 지역과 교회, 가정과 미래세대 안에서 이루어지는 구체적인 변화와 성장의 이야기들이 서로 연결되어 실체적 천일국 참자녀들의 대서사를 이루어 가는 시대가 열리고 있습니다. 다시 말해, 거대한 비전만을 바라보는 시대를 넘어, 현장에서 살아 움직이는 작은 승리와 변화의 축적이 곧 섭리의 실체를 증명하는 시대가 도래한 것입니다.

이러한 시각의 전환은 단순한 정책 변화에 머무르지 않을 것입니다. 향후 우리 공동체 문화 전반에 지각변동과도 같은 변화를 가져오게 될 것이며, 바로 그 변화 속에서 사람의 심정을 움직이고 본질적인 감동을 일으키는 새로운 서사가 탄생하게 될 것입니다. 그리고 그러한 살아 있는 서사들이 하나둘 모여, 미래세대가 계승하게 될 우리 공동체의 새로운 역사로 남게 될 것임을 함께 말씀드리고자 합니다.

4. 이번주 실천: 우리 공동체의 ‘작은 서사’ 나누기

사랑하는 식구 여러분,

이번 한 주, 우리 주변에서 피어나고 있는 ‘작은 승리의 이야기’를 서로 나누어 보시면 어떻겠습니까? 교회 안에서, 가정 안에서, 그리고 선교 현장 속에서 누군가의 작은 변화와 정성, 섬김과 헌신을 발견하셨다면 그냥 지나치지 마시고 서로 격려하며 주변 식구들과 함께 나누어 주시기 바랍니다.

아울러 그 소중하고도 따뜻한 삶의 이야기를 세계선교본부에도 함께 전해 주신다면, 전 세계 식구들과 은혜롭게 공유하는 시간을 갖고자 합니다. 거대한 역사 역시 결국 이름 없이 이어져 온 작은 믿음과 사랑의 축적 위에 세워지는 것이기에, 여러분 한 사람 한 사람의 사랑의 이야기는 천일국을 밝히는 가장 귀한 자산이자 미래를 움직이는 힘이 될 것입니다.

이번 교회성장 시상식이 보여주었듯이, 하늘은 결과만이 아니라 과정 속에 담긴 심정과 정성을 기억하십니다. 그렇기에 우리 모두가 서로의 작은 승리를 축복하고 격려하는 문화 속에서, 심정문화 공동체의 살아 있는 서사를 함께 만들어 가는 한 주가 되기를 진심으로 바랍니다.

世界宣教本部長　週間メッセージ17, “教会成長”、小さな物語が集まり天一国の歴史となる, 2026年　5月　22日

敬愛する全世界の祝福家庭の皆様、

5月は多くの国で「母の日が記念され、家族の愛と恩恵を改めて思い起こす月です。特に信仰の祖国・大韓民国では、こどもの日、父母の日、教師の日など、「子どもの日」、「父母の日」、「先生の日」など家族と人生の道を共に歩んで共にしてくださった方々へ感謝の心を伝える意味深い日々が続く特別な月月です。

この美しい5月、全世界の祝福家庭の上に、天の父母様の愛と恩寵がより豊かに共にあり、それぞれの家庭に感謝と幸福の香りが深まる時間となりますことを祈願いたします。

1. 教会成長表彰式の概要および結果

今週は、天宙聖婚66周年および天苑宮天一聖殿入宮1周年を記念して開催された「2026教会成長表彰式」の主要な結果とその意味、そして表彰式が持つ宣教的背景と今後の方向性について共に分かち合いたいと思います。

今回の表彰式は、記念式および祝福式の翌日である5月3日（日）、HJ天宙天寶修錬苑とオンラインを連結した中で、全世界から約440余名の天一国の牧会者たちが参加する中で挙行されました。

世界宣教本部は入宮式を前後して「牧会と伝道を通じた教会成長」を核心スローガンとして設定し、単なる数的増加を超えて、教会の質的成熟と量的成長を共に追求する「健康な教会成長」を新たな基準として提示いたしました。

このために、全世界の教会を質的成熟を中心とする「定着教会」、量的成長を中心とする「拡張教会」、質的・量的成長を共に追求する「大型教会」、そして宣教基盤の構築に焦点を置いた「開拓教会」の4つの類型に区分し、それぞれの教会規模と環境に合わせた目標を設定するよう案内いたしました。

これは入宮式を起点として、宣教戦略の中心軸を大陸単位から教会単位へ、また量的成長から質的成熟へと転換し、私たちの共同体がより一層成熟した方向へ進んでいく新しいパラダイムの転換を成し遂げています。

その結果、全世界で約550の教会が各類型別の目標を設定し、今回の表彰では、定着教会18、拡張教会10、大型教会12、開拓教会3、計43の教会が目標を達成し、「達成賞」を受賞することになりました。

あわせて、指標上の目標を完全には達成できなかったものの、牧会・伝道・共同体運営など多様な分野においてバランスの取れた成果を示した計34の教会に対しては、より公正な総合評価点数に基づき、「奨励賞」を授与いたしました。

また、共同体の模範的な発展事例を奨励するため、「天寶家庭教会の活性化」、「財政透明性」、「未来世代牧会」、「青年専門家ネットワーク」、そして「持続可能な社会的インパクト」の５つの部門について特別表彰を実施し、それぞれの分野で卓越した成果を示した５つの教会が「共同体模範賞」受賞の栄誉に輝きました。

2. 教会成長の美しい小さな物語たち

ここで、今回「目標達成賞」と「共同体模範賞」を受賞した教会による、美しい小さな物語をいくつかご紹介したいと思います。

アメリカのアーカンソー教会のジョン・ジャクソン牧師は、真の父母様が強調された「神霊と真理」のみ言を中心として、青年世代の驚くべき復興を成し遂げています。

教会の建物すらない環境の中にあっても、ショッピングモールに小さなコーヒーショップを開き、その裏のスペースに天心苑と礼拝室を設け、生命を生かす伝道の拠点として築き上げました。

その後、1世と2世が一つとなり、大学生を対象とした「ゲームの夜」や(男性・女性別の信仰の分かち合いの集い、そして原理講論に基づいた聖書研究を通して、イエス様の真の使命と真の父母様の価値を伝えてきました。その温かい心情文化と真理の力に感動した数多くの青年たちが新たに教会につながり、祝福を準備する恩恵深い役事が展開されています。

香港教会のヒョンシン牧師は、多忙な都会の生活に疲れた食口たちに対し、信仰の義務だけを強調するのではなく、天がそれぞれに与えてくださった才能を発見し、それを開花させることに心を注ぎました。

食口たちが自身の技術や趣味を喜びをもって捧げられるよう、統一武道、プログラミング、読書会など、多様な「クラブ文化」を作り、教会を心温まる成長と分かち合いの空間へと築き上げていきました。

すると教会は、もはや義務的に訪れる場所ではなく、自分の価値を発見し、愛を分かち合う喜びの共同体となりました。その中で食口たちは、無理に促されずとも自らの心情が動き、VIPを食口のように抱き、食口をVIPのように仕える美しい心情文化を実践しています。

3. 宣教戦略の変化と共同体文化の転換

食口の皆様、

私たちは今、摂理という巨大な理想とビジョンに向かって走り続けてきた時代を越え、「天一国安着時代」の中で、各教会と現場の中で実際に芽生えている、小さいながらも生き生きとした勝利の物語を繋いでいかなければならない新たな転換点に立っています。

これからは、各地域や教会、家庭、そして未来世代の中で成される具体的な変化と成長の物語が互いに結びつき、実体的天一国・真の子女たちの生きた大物語を成していく時代が開かれています。

言い換えれば、巨大なビジョンのみを見つめる時代を越え、現場で生き生きと躍動する小さな勝利と変化の積み重ねこそが、摂理の実体を証明する時代が到来したのです。

このような視点の転換は、単なる政策の変化に留まることはないでしょう。今後、私たちの共同体文化全般に、地殻変動に似た変化をもたらすことになるでしょう。そして、その変化の中で、人々の心情を動かし、本質的な感動を呼び起こす新たな物語が誕生していくのです。

そしてそのような生きた物語が一つ、また一つと集まり、未来世代が継承していくことになる私たち共同体の新しい歴史として残されていくことをお伝えしたいと思います。

4. 今週の実践：私たち共同体の「小さな物語」を分かち合う

愛する食口の皆様、

今週一週間、私たちの周りで芽生えている「小さな勝利の物語」を互いに共有し合ってみてはいかがでしょうか？教会の中で、家庭の中で、そして宣教現場の中で、どなたかの小さな変化や精誠、そして奉仕と献身を発見されたなら、そのまま見過ごさずに互いに励まし合い、周囲の食口たちと共に分かち合っていただきたいと思います。

あわせて、その貴く心温かい人生の物語を世界宣教本部にもお伝えいただければ、全世界の食口たちと恩恵深く共有する時間を持ちたいと思います。

偉大なる歴史もまた、名もなきまま続けてこられた小さな信仰と愛の蓄積の上に築かれるものだからこそ、皆さん一人ひとりの愛の物語は、天一国を明るく照らす最も貴い資産であり、未来を動かす力となることでしょう。

今回の教会成長表彰式が示してくれたように、天は結果だけでなく、その過程に込められた心情と精誠を覚えておられます。だからこそ、私たち全てが互いの小さな勝利を祝福し励まし合う文化の中で、心情文化共同体の生きた物語を共に築いていく一週間となることを心より願っています。
