Battambang Province, Samlout district: On 8 December 2022, we conducted a charity activity to support the 250 children with education materials and character education in Prey Thom Primary School.
Charity is the act of extending love and kindness to others unconditionally, which is a conscious act but the decision is made by the heart, without expecting a reward. When Charity is carried out selflessly, it is a one-way act where a person gives but asks for nothing in return. Charity begins with the inward recognition of a need to show compassion to others whether consciously or unconsciously.
Everyone has problems, troubles, and griefs of some sort in life but charity starts with those who learn to downplay their own problems, in order to extend compassion, kindness, and love to help others. Hence some people set aside their own pains to relieve the pain of others. Often the people in society who are in need are the most overlooked. Society and governments aren’t set up to protect everyone who needs it. That’s why charities are here to fill the gaps and provide dedicated resources to help the most vulnerable.
There are many nonprofit organizations that rely solely on donations, ethical purchases, and grants to run and sustain daily operations that assist people and animals in dire need. For some, it is even quite literally a life or death situation. Taking on a sense of social responsibility inspires and empowers us to make the world a better place. Some would argue that individual donations do not make a difference but quite the contrary! The category of donors that make the largest impact are individuals who volunteer their time and donate funds (as opposed to corporate giving).
In conclusion, they are so happy to see our blessed families and through giving hope and vision to them, so they can see the future and want to do something higher for the sake of their community and the nation.
Thank you True Mother! We love you.
