On December 12, 2022, the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace Burkina Faso held the YOUTH Heroes AWARDS ceremony in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Throughout this event, different speakers followed one another. After the presentation of IAYSP, the president of IAYSP Burkina Faso Kwang Hée Divine Kabore presented the module 5 of character education with the theme “Conflict resolution in siblings”.
Then the ceremony of distinction began with the presentation of the medal to the laureate Valeriya Biyen, promoter of a youth training center, for her commitment in the education of the youth for a better Africa. Valeriya Biyen founded a youth training center and developed television programs on leadership and offered a platform to IAYSP in the realization of the peace designer workshop and character education.
During her speech of thanks, the laureate expressed her gratitude to IAYSP and her determination to continue the partnership with IAYSP in these educational works for the youth of her country. The president of the Northern sub-region of IAYSP, Pang il Diarra recalled the 5 principles of peace of a young hero and the president of the Northern sub-region of the FFPMU/FPU Reverend Sou Danwere addressed his words of congratulations. The ceremony ended in a friendly atmosphere.
