By YSP Brazil
Since the beginning of March, YSP Brazil has been running the “Youth with Vision” character education project in partnership with the Joanna Sposito State School, located in Embu das Artes, São Paulo. The initiative takes place every Tuesday as part of an elective course specifically designed for high school students.
Throughout the semester, a class of 25 students has engaged in thematic lectures and hands-on activities led by the YSP Brazil team, working closely with the school’s elective course teacher. The project aims to provide young people with a values-based education, encouraging the development of strong character, socio-emotional skills, and a deeper awareness of their roles as children, students, citizens, and future societal leaders.
Curriculum Inspired by Core Values
The curriculum is organized into three thematic blocks inspired by the principles of the Three Great Blessings. By the end of May, the team had successfully delivered 9 out of the 11 planned sessions. Key topics covered so far include:
- Human value and inherent dignity
- Cultivating personal talents to contribute to the public good
- Bullying prevention and harmonious conflict resolution
- Raising awareness about the dangers of addiction
- Achieving personal maturity as a foundation for healthy, responsible relationships
Each session pairs an educational lecture with a practical, creative activity. This approach ensures that students do not just passively absorb the concepts, but can express and apply them in ways that connect directly to their daily lives and school environment.
Broadening Horizons Beyond the Classroom
In addition to the regular weekly workshops at the school, students were invited to visit the national YSP headquarters. They also participated in a special cultural program hosted by the Hyo Jeong Peace Center, attending a Choir Concert on May 16. This field trip gave the youth an enriching experience with professional artistic performances, effectively broadening their horizons and life perspectives.

Impact and Future Outlook
For both the school administration and the students, “Youth with Vision” has become a vital tool for strengthening values-based education—fostering a culture of respect, responsibility, cooperation, and true love.
Furthermore, this initiative directly aligns with YSP’s broader vision to reach and raise 100,000 young people connected to the providence of True Parents, sharing their core teachings to transform society through a culture of true love centered on Heavenly Parent. The project will continue through the end of June to complete its full semester cycle.
