The seven-day Pure Water Seminar, intended for second-generation children aged 10 to 14 and organized by the Youth Department of BENIN, took place from August 24 to 30, 2026, at the Godomey National Headquarters. This training session brought together 17 participants, including 6 boys and 11 girls, for an intensive program of spiritual, educational, and character development training.
Throughout the seminar, participants engaged in a rich program consisting of lectures, interactive workshops, educational games, sports activities, prayer, reflection, and sharing times. The teachings aimed to strengthen their character and identity as second-generation children, helping them better understand the values of Hyo Jeong, the ideal family, the value of true love, purity before marriage, respect for oneself and others, as well as their responsibility in building Cheon Il Guk. The children were also introduced to several aspects of the providential history of Heavenly Parent, True Parents, and the Providence of Salvation.
The seminar was facilitated by four staff members from the National Leadership (the National Leader, the Vice National Leader, the Secretary General, and the Youth Department Director, who was the main organizer), with the support of several resource persons invited to share their knowledge and experiences. Highlights included a jogging session led by the National Leader, Rev. Woo Sung GUELI, who ran alongside the participants. This activity served as a special moment of closeness with the children while conveying to them, through example, the values of discipline, perseverance, self-transcendence, and a balanced life.
Beyond the teachings, this seminar was fully aligned with the 40-day global condition of devotion offered to support Holy Mother HAN, which concluded on the same day as the seminar’s closing, and also took place during the Great Works period. Thus, every morning, participants took part in the national Hoon Dok Hae, dedicated to reading True Parents’ words and offering prayers for Holy Mother HAN. Every afternoon, they also joined the special Prayer Vigil broadcast live from Korea, experiencing the same devotion as members worldwide. Furthermore, during the three days of the Great Works, they participated in all the programs.
One of the most touching testimonies of this training occurred toward the end of the seminar. Deeply inspired by the teachings received and the spirit of the global condition, more than half of the participants voluntarily chose to offer a personal condition of fasting to support Holy Mother HAN. Some offered a half-day fast, while others freely decided to observe a twenty-four-hour fast, praying with sincerity for the protection, support, and liberation of True Mother. This initiative, entirely spontaneous on the children’s part, deeply moved the mentors and attests to the depth with which they embraced the teachings received during the week.
The general atmosphere of the seminar was characterized by excellent participation, a spirit of fraternity, remarkable discipline, and constant involvement from the mentors. Testimonies collected at the close of the training revealed a better understanding of the value of purity, personal responsibility, the life of faith, and filial love toward Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
We hold onto the hope that the seeds sown during these seven days will continue to bear lasting fruit in the life of each of these children. May this experience help them grow in faith, preserve their purity, develop a heart of Hyo Jeong, and become tomorrow’s youth and families capable of contributing fully to the building of Cheon Il Guk.
