On 26th and 27th September 2026, 5 parents and 11 second generation participants gathered at the JB Center in Johor for the JB Blessing Workshop Level 2. Sis. Kong Ying Chi, served as Master of Ceremony and guided the program with warmth throughout both days. Day 1 began with the opening prayer and opening remarks by Mr. Chan Yien Wei, JB Center Leader. He welcomed everyone and set a prayerful tone for the workshop. A video of the 2026 Blessing Ceremony followed, and then we moved through five lectures. Between them the participants shared in small groups with the help of team leaders. The bonding games brought a lot of laughter and helped the young people relax and open up to one another. Mrs. Yeonphil Donna Koh shared her Blessing testimony, speaking from the heart about being the first in her family to be blessed, how her doubts pushed her to prepare more seriously, and how Heavenly Parent led her and Mr. Koh Fan Meng together in His own timing. She encouraged the fellow 2nd generation that the Blessing is measured not by speed but by faithfulness, and that they do not need to be free of doubt to begin preparing.

Later in the day, a panel sharing in a Q&A format was held with Rev. Lam Cheng Hai, Mrs. Yeoh Koay Phing, Mr. Chan Yien Wei, Mr. Koh Fan Meng and Mrs. Yeonphil Donna Koh. The participants and parents were able to ask their questions openly and hear honest answers from those with years of experience in the Blessing path. The day closed with a time of written reflection. After dinner, we held consultations for both parents and participants, where many could speak more personally.

In Lecture 1, “Identity of 2nd Generation & Destiny,” Rev. Lam Cheng Hai reminded the young people that they are born in God’s lineage and have no connection to Satan’s lineage. Our parents went through the Blessing and their own formula courses, such as fundraising, witnessing, studying the True Parent’s word and self-denial, to restore the lineage and be separated from the original sin. The second generation now inherits that foundation. He stressed that purity, in body and in mind, is the one gift they can give their future spouse, and encouraged them to realize pure love and let God decide their partner. He also pointed out that the teenage and young adult years are the most important time to align themselves with Heavenly Parents and True Parents and prepare for the Blessing.

In Lecture 2, “Blessing – Our Way to Go,” Mrs. Yeoh Koay Phing explained why we need the Blessing. We are Heavenly Parent’s children and we lost our original identity through the Fall, so it is through the Blessing that we return to Heavenly Parent’s care. A couple is not simply a man and a woman who meet and marry, because we meet centered on Heavenly Parents and True Parents. She also reminded everyone that God’s wisdom is greater than ours, so we can trust that He knows what is best for us as we fulfill the Three Great Blessings. She cleared up some common misconceptions as well. God does not necessarily give us the “best” but what fits us best, so that we can grow, and the Blessing is a lifelong lesson, not a single moment. It needs determination, adjustment, and honest communication from the heart.

In Lecture 3, “Are We Ready Seriously?”, Mrs. Yeoh Koay Phing invited the participants to ask themselves honestly whether they are ready. She went through a checklist: our level of faith and whether we truly trust Heavenly Parents and True Parents, our motivation (marrying out of age pressure or to please parents is the wrong reason), whether we understand the value of the Blessing, and our maturity and capacity to love. She reminded the participants that a sacrificial heart can be cultivated by mingling with all kinds of people, and that one’s future partner will be their best trainer.

In Lecture 4, “How to Be Ready? Now or Never,” Mrs. Yeoh Koay Phing spoke about true love, which does not come instantly but grows through the ups and downs of life as a couple. True love is a spiritual power that connects two hearts and two souls, with a shared goal and a shared way forward. Love means living for the sake of one’s partner without expecting anything in return, and she encouraged giving back threefold what we receive.

In Lecture 5, “Let’s Enjoy the Journey,” Rev. Lam Cheng Hai gave an overview of the Blessing education pipeline and the matching process for blessed children. He explained how to prepare as a candidate and the ways candidates can be found, including B4U, PMC, family networking, MS and advocates, and intergenerational matching and Blessing.

On Day 2, we began with the Sunday Service, where Mrs. Yeoh Koay Phing delivered the sermon “Raising Children in Heavenly Way.” She reminded the parents that our children are precious children of Heavenly Parents, entrusted to us through the Blessing of True Parents, and encouraged them to raise them with a heart that is patient, forgiving and giving without expecting anything in return. She also stressed that children learn the Heavenly way most from the example of their parents at home, and that honest communication and earnest prayer for them are the foundation of the Blessing journey. Then came the closing ceremony, with reflections from the participants, closing remarks from Rev. Lam Cheng Hai, a certificate presentation and group photos.

After the programme, all the parents and participants stayed for a lunch meeting. Mrs. Yeoh Koay Phing presented a slideshow of all the second-generation blessed couples in Malaysia. Seeing the faces of those who had already received the Blessing in our own community was encouraging for everyone, especially the young 2nd generation members. A short Q&A followed, and then consultations for those who wanted to talk about their personal situations.

What made this workshop meaningful was the sense of family. Parents and second-generation participants sat together, heard the same message and began to talk honestly about the Blessing, which is not always easy at home. The young people were not just told what was expected of them. They were helped to see the Blessing as a matter of identity, readiness and heart, and as a precious gift from Heavenly Parents and True Parents.  The consultations on both days, along with the Q&A sessions, gave parents and participants a safe place to bring their worries and questions. We pray that the seeds planted in these two days will grow into a firm determination in each participant to keep their purity, prepare their hearts and move forward on the path of the Blessing.

Reflection

Today’s session taught me a lot and helped me understand the Blessing more deeply. It also made me reflect again on my motivation for wanting to receive the Blessing and whether I am truly viewing the Blessing from the perspective of a Heavenly Parent, or if I am still looking at it based on my own thoughts and desires. I realized that I still have a lot of work to do when it comes to becoming self-governed, and I’m continuing to work on it. I actually agreed with many of the things we learned today, and I hope that soon I can become the right person for the right person! Most importantly, I want to become one with my parents, trust Abel, and entrust everything to God. And of course, devotion is the key! I’ll continue doing my best to make conditions and prepare myself for the Blessing. ~ Mah Song Xuan, 2nd Generation Participant

If I remember correctly, this was my first time attending the Blessing course in Chinese. It helped me gain a deeper understanding of the value and meaning of receiving the Blessing. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve heard many testimonies from Blessed couples. At the same time, I’ve also seen some examples where things did not work out successfully. Of course, no one wants to experience that kind of outcome, including myself. Even so, I’m still certain that I want to receive the Blessing. However, because of some external factors, I haven’t yet had a deeper conversation with my parents about some of the things from my past that I’m still dealing with. I also worry that when communicating with a future partner, I may not know how to talk about certain important things, such as how we should prepare for the Blessing after marriage or how to build a stable relationship after receiving the Blessing. So, I feel that there is still a lot of preparation I need to do, especially in terms of my mindset. I originally came this time to renew my certificate, but I didn’t expect to gain so many new insights. Some of my questions were also answered, which I’m really grateful for. ~ Ng Mei Yen, 2nd Generation Participant
