From August 21st to 23rd, Israel played host to an uplifting Blessed Children’s Workshop, bringing together second- and third-generation youth for three memorable days of spiritual growth, unity, and joyful fellowship. The gathering was thoughtfully designed to pass down the sacred tradition of True Parents, empowering the young participants to internalize the heart of True Mother by learning how to put love into active practice within their everyday lives.
Throughout the weekend, the workshop’s educational foundation was structured around the Three Great Blessings. Each day focused deeply on one of these core principles, guiding the children through engaging presentations and open discussions. By examining how these spiritual goals apply to personal growth, interpersonal relationships, and care for creation, the youth were encouraged to reflect on their own roles within their families and broader communities.
To bridge the gap between lesson and lifestyle, the schedule featured a variety of rich, hands-on experiences. The children rolled up their sleeves to plant and nurture a garden, gaining a firsthand appreciation for the care and patience required to cultivate life. They also shared joyful moments along the coast during a beach outing, building strong bonds of friendship while enjoying the refreshing outdoors. Gathering for quiet moments of heartfelt prayer in nature offered everyone a peaceful space to feel the presence of the Divine within creation.
Through this harmonious balance of study, reflection, and physical activity, the young attendees were able to live out the values introduced in the classroom. The workshop concluded with a shared sense of gratitude and inspiration, leaving the second and third generations equipped with cherished memories, strengthened faith, and a clear path toward embodying True Parents’ tradition in their daily lives.
Youth Volunteers Bring Culture and Connection to Children’s Shelter
JERUSALEM — On August 11th, five dedicated volunteers from the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) and Youth and Students for Peace (YSP) spent an enriching afternoon bringing warmth, learning, and connection to 21 children at a local shelter home.
Designed to engage children across two distinct age groups, the interactive visit kicked off with a lively Japanese Kanji quiz led by a second-generation youth volunteer. The activity offered the children a fun and memorable entry point into Japanese language and culture, sparking curiosity and active participation across the room.
Building on the spirit of cultural discovery, the volunteers moved into the kitchen for a hands-on culinary demonstration on the art of making sushi rolls. Guided step-by-step through the process, the children proudly created their own custom rolls, turning the activity into a collaborative celebration of food and fellowship as everyone sat down to share the meal together.
To conclude the day, the volunteer team gathered downtown at “You Need Coffee,” a local Jerusalem coffee shop run by a second-generation couple. Over warm drinks, the youth reflected on the day’s meaningful outreach, celebrating the impact of simple acts of service and community connection.
