The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) South Africa hosted a special Blessing Anniversary Banquet celebrating couples from the 30,000 and 360,000 Couples Blessings and the 14th Anniversary of the Holy Ascension of True Father, Rev. Sun Myung Moon on Sunday, 30 August 2026  at the Peace Embassy Johannesburg, South Africa.

The main objectives were:

  • To celebrate couples from the 30,000 and 360,000 Couples Blessings who have maintained their marriages for more than three decades.
  • To commemorate the 14th Anniversary of True Father’s Holy Ascension and reflect on his lifelong contribution to the vision of world peace.
  • To showcase the achievements and legacy of the True Parents, particularly their work through the Marriage Blessing to bring people of different races, cultures and nationalities together.
  • To strengthen the relationship among Blessed Families and encourage younger generations to inherit the tradition of true love, family and service.

Presentation on the Achievements of the True Father’s work

The program started for commenced of the 14th Anniversary of True Father’s Holy Ascension.

The National Leader, Rev Emeraude Heaven Ndonga conducted the main program and shared a presentation highlighting the life, achievements and worldwide contribution of the True Parents.

Particular emphasis was placed on the Marriage Blessing as an instrument for overcoming barriers of: Race, Culture, Nationality, Religion and Social background.

The Blessing has brought together people from diverse backgrounds and created families that serve as a practical model of reconciliation and peace.

The presentation also addressed the importance of remembering the substantial work undertaken by the True Parents despite periods of misrepresentation, negative media coverage and accusations. Rather than focusing on controversy, the event provided an opportunity to present the tangible achievements, projects and impact of their work and allow guests to hear directly from those whose lives have been transformed through the Blessing and the movement.

Celebration of the 30000 and 360 000 Blessed Couples

A focus of the banquet was also the recognition of couples who have maintained their marriages for 31, 34 and 44 years.

The National Leader congratulated the couples and emphasized that their long journey together is much more than a personal achievement. Their marriages represent a living testimony of True Parent’s achievement centering on Heavenly Parent’s providence of restauration.

Sharing Reflection by Rev. Moruti Ledwaba

A special reflection was delivered by Rev. Moruti Ledwaba, who was himself among the couples celebrating their wedding anniversary. Drawing from his own experience of marriage and faith, Rev. Ledwaba shared meaningful reflections on living a life of faith and remaining proud of one’s spiritual journey.

He encouraged the couples to appreciate how far they had travelled together and to recognize the value of remaining faithful through the different seasons and challenges of life.

His testimony was particularly meaningful because it came not simply as a formal message, but as a personal reflection from a couple who had themselves experienced the journey being celebrated. His words encouraged the couples to continue living with faith, gratitude and confidence in the value of their commitment.

Couples’ Games and Fellowship

The celebration also included interactive couples’ games, creating an atmosphere of joy, friendship and fellowship. The activities encouraged couples to interact with one another, celebrate their relationships and create memorable moments together. They also helped strengthen the bond among Blessed Families beyond the formal program.

Following the activities, a special banquet meal was shared, providing further opportunity for fellowship, conversation and celebration. Couples Interviews

As part of the anniversary celebration, a series of interviews with the couples was conducted to capture their personal experiences of the Marriage Blessing and their journey of more than three decades together.

The interviews were designed to provide an authentic and personal testimony of the meaning and impact of the Blessing. Couples were invited to reflect openly on questions.
