From July 13 to July 17, 2026, families gathered at Chamarande for the annual Family Summer Camp. Designed as a collaborative, intergenerational retreat, the camp brought together parents and children aged 7 to 18 for five days of shared learning, physical activity, and relationship building.
The event functioned as an active community gathering rather than a conventional drop-off program. Parents took direct responsibility for supervising their children and contributed actively to camp operations, program delivery, and community life.
Theme & Focus Area
The core theme for the 2026 camp was “The Common Virtues of the Three Great Blessings.”
Educational modules and group reflections focused on practical virtues that serve as the foundation for strong, healthy family dynamics. Sessions explored how these principles strengthen bonds across three key relational pillars:
- Parent to Child: Developing patience, encouraging guidance, and deep listening.
- Child to Parent: Fostering gratitude, respect, and constructive dialogue.
- Sibling to Sibling: Building empathy, teamwork, and mutual support.
Program Highlights
The schedule balanced structured study, personal reflection, and energetic outdoor events designed for all age levels:
- Presentations & Testimonies: Keynote sessions and personal accounts offered grounded examples of applying core virtues to everyday family challenges.

Operational Model & Shared Responsibility
A defining aspect of the camp’s success was its participatory framework. Rather than relying solely on external staff, the camp operated on a shared-responsibility model. Parents participated directly in leadership, supervision, and logistics. This cooperative approach reinforced the central message of the camp—demonstrating service, accountability, and community effort in real time.
