Respected and beloved blessed families and members around the world,

I pray that this will be a grace-filled week during which, if we come to an even slightly deeper understanding of True Parents’ homeland, our hearts will be drawn closer to Heavenly Parent.

1. Summary of Last Week’s Message

Last week, we reflected together that the Great Epic of the Chosen Han People of Korea is not merely a national history confined to the small territory of the Korean Peninsula. Rather, it is a meticulously prepared providential blueprint through which Heavenly Parent has quietly worked to bring about humanity’s salvation, and a family tree of heart that binds us all together as Heavenly Parent’s true children.

Based on this, I invite members around the world to reflect deeply this week on why it is essential for us to understand the history and culture of the land where True Parents were born, and to explore both its significance in the history of human civilization and its universal value.

I would especially like to share with our worldwide members from diverse cultural backgrounds why this journey of learning becomes a sacred rite of passage in completing our identity as a person of faith. By tracing Heaven’s providential course, woven throughout humanity’s spiritual history, I hope to offer an answer to this important question.

2. The History of Eastern and Western Civilization Founded upon Spirituality and Intellect

Dear brothers and sisters,

As we look back on the course of humanity’s spiritual and intellectual journey, we find within this vast history two great mountains standing tall, guiding the destiny of humankind.

The great roots of Western civilization were formed through the convergence of Hellenism centered in Greece and Rome, laying the foundations of human intellect and the rule of law, and Hebraism centered in Canaan and Palestine, sustaining a fervent faith in the one true God. The historical union of these two currents became the spiritual foundation of Western Christian civilization as we know it today.

At the same time, Eastern civilization likewise unfolded through two great traditions. Buddhism—originally centered in India—sought the true nature of the human mind and the path to spiritual liberation, while Confucianism—centered in the Far East—established moral norms for human conduct and the fundamental order of Heaven. Together, these two traditions formed the essential framework of Eastern thought.

For thousands of years, these great civilizations of East and West matured independently within distinct geopolitical settings, each preparing for the Last Days promised by Heaven.

Yet, as humanity struggled, unable to surmount the barriers between ideologies, races, and the world’s regions, Korea’s modern history became a great melting pot in which all these civilizations converged. Christianity—the culminating fruit of Western civilization—swept in like the rising tide, while the long-standing Eastern traditions of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taosim met on the same land.

On the basis of this great convergence of civilizations, there finally appeared on the Korean Peninsula the ones who embodied the spiritual essence of both East and West: True Father Sun Myung Moon, the Returning Messiah, and True Mother Hak Ja Han, the Only Begotten Daughter who has come for the first time. Through the advent of the True Parents, the diverse philosophies and spiritual traditions of humanity were at last brought into unity and perfection.

Through the True Parents, Heavenly Parent brought the religions and philosophies of East and West into oneness on the Korean Peninsula and expanded the providential work of the Blessing. Through the Blessing, Heavenly Parent has broken down the barriers between cultures, races and ideologies, integrating them and opening a new era of civilization in which spirituality and intellect are perfected in true love—in spirit and truth.

3. The Reason for Learning the History and Culture of the Homeland of Our Faith

Why, then, should we deeply study, experience, and internalize the history and culture of the True Parents’ homeland?

In the history of religion, whenever a central figure emerged to lead Heaven’s providence, the land where that person was born and fulfilled his or her mission came to be recognized as far more than a mere geographical location—it has been recognized as the origin of faith and civilization. The history and culture of that land have served as an important pathway through which later generations of believers come to understand Heaven’s will, and as a foundation for inheriting the tradition of faith.

In the Old Testament era, believers came to understand God’s providence by studying—through the scriptures—the history and traditions of Canaan, the land that bears the imprint of Abraham, Moses and the prophets. Christians of the New Testament era regard the land of Israel and Palestine, where Jesus was born and proclaimed the Gospel, as their spiritual homeland, while embracing its history and culture as an integral part of their faith. Even today, they continue to rediscover its significance through making pilgrimages to the Holy Land and studying the Bible.

In Buddhism, the sacred sites of India where Shakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment have been revered as the origin of the faith, and Buddhists have continued to explore the realm of the spirit. In Confucianism, the history of ancient China where Confucius taught, along with its culture of ritual propriety (li, 禮), has been upheld as the wellspring of Confucian tradition passed from generation to generation. Likewise, Muslims honor the land of Arabia where the Prophet Muhammad received his revelation, as holy ground, and continue to uphold its history and traditions as an essential foundation for their religious life.

In this way, all of humanity’s great faith traditions have discovered their identity within the history and culture of their central figures, learning from that spiritual legacy and faithfully carrying it forward.

4. Turning Our Hearts toward Our Homeland

Beloved blessed families and members around the world,

By attending True Parents—who have united the intellectual and religious foundations of the West with the spirituality and moral traditions of the East, thereby opening the way to a world of true peace—we have transcended all boundaries of lineage and ethnicity. As inheritors of the lineage of True Parents’ true love, we have become the direct children of Heavenly Parent.

For this reason, learning about the Great Epic of the Chosen Han People of Korea is by no means the detached study of another nation’s history but a sacred homecoming of the heart. In coming to know about the homeland of our True Parents who have brought the civilizations of East and West to fulfillment, we awaken to the foundation of heart and lineage prepared by Heavenly Parent throughout the long course of the providence and rediscover the true homeland of our faith. Through this path of learning, we come to embody in our lives the universal love and heart of True Parents, who wove into one the providence of both East and West, and to grow into full maturity as Heavenly Parent’s true sons and daughters living in the era of Cheon Il Guk.

5. This Week’s Practice: The First Step toward a Homecoming of the Heart

Dear brothers and sisters,

This week, how about taking a little time to explore the history of the Korean Peninsula or the culture of Korea using online resources? I also invite you to look into the lives of the figures introduced in the Great Epic.

I further encourage you to share what you discover with fellow members. Learning deepens when it is shared, and such exchanges can become precious opportunities to gain new insights and realizations from one another.

Beginning wherever your interest leads you, I encourage you to deepen your understanding of True Parents’ homeland step by step, and thus experience a spiritual homecoming. Through this journey, may we become ever more deeply connected to the heart of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, and grow as true sons and daughters of Cheon Il Guk who embody their love and tradition in our lives.

Next week, we will explore more specifically what we can learn through the Great Epic of the Chosen Han People and how we can implement that learning in our lives.

1. 지난주 메시지 요약

지난주 우리는 ‘한민족 선민 대서사시’가 단지 한반도라는 작은 영토에 국한된 민족사가 아니라, 인류를 구원하기 위해 하늘부모님께서 소리 없이 준비해 오신 정교한 ‘섭리적 설계도’이자, 우리 모두를 하늘의 참된 자녀로 묶어주는 ‘심정의 족보’임을 함께 확인했습니다.

이 배움의 첫걸음 위에 이번 주는 왜 우리가 참부모님이 탄생하신 조국의 역사와 문화를 깊이 이해해야 하는지, 그 문명사적 의의와 보편적 가치에 대해 전 세계 식구님들과 함께 더 깊은 성찰로 나아가고자 합니다. 특히 문화적 배경이 다른 해외 식구님들과 지도자분들에게 이 배움이 왜 나의 신앙적 정체성을 완성하는 지고한 통과의례가 되는지, 인류 영성사를 관통하는 하늘의 섭리적 흐름을 통해 그 해답을 전해 드리고자 합니다.

2. 영성과 지성을 기반으로 한 동서양의 문명사

사랑하는 식구 여러분,

인류가 이룩해 온 영성과 지성의 발자취를 돌아보면, 그 장대한 역사 속에는 인류의 운명을 이끌어 온 두 개의 거대한 산맥이 우뚝 서 있습니다.

서양 문명의 위대한 뿌리는 그리스·로마를 중심으로 인간 지성과 법치의 기틀을 세운 ‘헬레니즘’과, 가나안 팔레스타인을 중심으로 유일신을 향한 뜨거운 신앙을 이어온 ‘헤브라이즘’의 만남으로 형성되었습니다. 이 두 흐름의 역사적 결합이 오늘날 서구 기독교 문명의 정신적 토대가 되었습니다.

동시에 동양 문명 역시 찬란한 두 줄기로 흘러왔습니다. 인도를 중심으로 인간 마음의 본질과 영적 해탈을 추구한 ‘불교’와, 극동을 중심으로 인간 도덕의 표준과 천륜의 기본 질서를 확립한 ‘유교’의 만남이 동양 사상의 골격을 이룩했습니다.

이 동서양의 위대한 문명들은 수천 년 동안 서로 다른 지정학적 환경 속에서 독자적으로 성숙하며 하늘이 약속하신 마지막 때를 준비해 왔습니다.

하지만 인류가 사상과 인종, 지역의 벽을 넘지 못하고 갈등할 때, 대한민국의 근현대사는 이 모든 문명이 하나로 만나는 거대한 용광로가 되었습니다. 서양 문명의 최종 결실인 기독교가 파도처럼 밀려오고, 동양의 유구한 유·불선 전통이 한자리에서 조우한 것입니다.

이러한 문명사적 대수렴의 기지 위에, 마침내 동서양 문명의 영적 정수를 안고 한반도에 오신 분이 바로 재림메시아 문선명 참아버님과 초림 독생녀 한학자 참어머님이십니다. 참부모님의 현현을 통해 인류의 모든 사상과 영성은 비로소 온전한 통일과 완성을 보게 되었습니다.

하늘부모님께서는 참부모님을 통해 동서양의 종교와 철학을 한반도에서 하나로 수렴하셨으며, ‘축복식’이라는 하늘 섭리의 역사를 펼치셨습니다. 이 축복을 통해 전 인류의 문화와 인종, 사상의 벽을 허물고 통합하시어, 영성과 지성이 신령과 진리 안에서 참사랑으로 완성되는 새로운 문명의 시대를 활짝 열어주셨습니다.

3. 신앙의 조국, 그 역사와 문화를 배워야 하는 이유

그렇다면 우리는 왜 참부모님께서 오신 조국의 역사와 문화를 이토록 깊이 배우고 체휼해야 할까요?

인류의 종교사를 돌아보면, 하늘의 섭리를 이끌었던 중심 인물이 등장할 때마다 그 인물이 태어나고 사명을 펼친 땅은 단순한 지리적 공간을 넘어 신앙과 문명의 원천으로 인식되어 왔습니다. 그 땅의 역사와 문화는 후대 신앙인들에게 하늘의 뜻을 이해하는 중요한 통로가 되었으며, 신앙 전통을 계승하는 토대가 되었습니다.

구약시대의 신앙인들은 아브라함과 모세를 비롯한 선지자들의 발자취가 새겨진 가나안의 역사와 전통을 성경을 통해 배우며 하나님의 섭리를 깨달았습니다. 신약시대의 그리스도인들은 예수님께서 탄생하시고 복음을 전하신 이스라엘과 팔레스타인의 역사와 문화를 자신의 영적 고향으로 여기며, 오늘날까지도 성지 순례와 성경 연구를 통해 그 의미를 되새기고 있습니다. 불교에서는 석가모니 부처님께서 깨달음을 이루신 인도의 성지를 신앙의 근원으로 존중하며 그 정신세계를 탐구해 왔고, 유교에서는 공자가 활동했던 고대 중국의 역사와 예(禮)의 문화를 학문의 본류로 삼아 계승해 왔습니다. 또한 이슬람의 무슬림들은 예언자 무함마드가 계시를 받은 아라비아의 땅을 성지로 받들며, 그 역사와 전통을 신앙생활의 중요한 기반으로 이어오고 있습니다.

이처럼 인류의 위대한 신앙 전통은 모두 중심 인물이 걸어온 역사와 문화 속에서 자신의 정체성을 발견하고, 그 정신을 배우며 계승해 왔습니다.

4. 심정적 귀향

사랑하는 전 세계 축복가정 식구 여러분,

서양의 지성과 종교적 기대, 그리고 동양의 영성과 도덕적 전통을 하나로 통합하시어 참된 평화세계를 열어가시는 참부모님을 모신 우리는 이제 혈통과 민족의 모든 경계를 넘어, 참부모님의 참사랑의 혈통을 상속받은 하늘부모님의 직계 자녀가 되었습니다.

그렇기에 우리에게 한민족 선민 대서사시를 배우는 일은 결코 남의 나라 역사를 배우는 방관자의 학습이 아닙니다. 그것은 동서 문명을 완성하신 참부모님의 조국을 배우며, 하늘부모님께서 오랜 섭리의 역사 속에서 일구어 오신 심정적 토양과 혈통적 기대를 깨닫고, 우리 자신의 신앙적 본향을 찾아가는 가장 거룩한 ‘심정적 귀향’입니다. 이 배움을 통해 우리는 동서의 섭리를 하나로 엮으신 참부모님의 우주적 사랑과 심정을 삶 속에서 실천하며, 천일국 시대를 살아가는 하늘의 참된 자녀로 더욱 성숙해 갈 것입니다.

5. 이번 주 실천: 심정적 귀향의 첫걸음

사랑하는 식구님,

이번 주에는 잠시 시간을 내어 인터넷을 통해 한반도의 역사 혹은 한국의 문화에 대해 살펴보시면 어떨까요? 더 나아가 ‘한민족 선민 대서사시’에 등장하는 인물들에 대해서도 직접 찾아보시기를 권해드립니다.

또한 스스로 알아보고 발견한 내용들을 주변 식구들과 함께 나누는 시간을 가져보시기 바랍니다. 배움은 혼자 간직할 때보다 함께 나눌 때 더욱 깊어지며, 그 나눔을 통해 서로에게 새로운 통찰과 깨달음을 얻는 소중한 기회가 될 것입니다.

今週は、真の父母様の祖国に向けた小さな学びが、私たちの心情を天の父母様へとより一層近づくよう導く、恩恵ある時間となりますよう祈願いたします。

1.【先週のメッセージ要約】

先週、私たちは、「韓民族選民大叙事詩」が単に朝鮮半島（韓半島）という小さな領土に限定された民族史ではなく、人類を救うために天の父母様が音もなく準備してこられた精巧な「摂理的設計図」であり、私たちすべてを天の真の子女として結び付ける「心情の系譜」であることを共に確認しました。

この学びの第一歩の上に、今週は、なぜ私たちが真の父母様が誕生された祖国の歴史と文化を深く理解しなければならないのか、その文明史的意義と普遍的価値について、全世界の食口の皆様と共に、より深い省察へと進んでいきたいと思います。

特に、文化的背景の異なる海外の食口の皆様と指導者の方々に、この学びがなぜ自らの信仰的アイデンティティを完成させる至高の通過儀礼となるのか、人類霊性史を貫く天の摂理的流れを通して、その答えをお伝えしたいと思います。

2.【霊性と知性に根差した東西洋の文明史】

愛する食口の皆様、

人類が築いてきた霊性と知性の足跡を振り返ってみれば、その壮大な歴史の中には、人類の運命を導いてきた二つの巨大な山脈がそびえ立っています。

西洋文明の偉大な根源は、ギリシャ・ローマを中心に人間の知性と法治の基盤を築いた「ヘレニズム」と、カナン・パレスチナを中心に、唯一神に向かう熱い信仰を受け継いできた「ヘブライズム」の出会いによって形成されました。

この二つの流れの歴史的結合が、今日の西欧キリスト教文明の精神的土台となりました。同時に、東洋文明もまた、燦然たる二つの流れとして流れてきました。インドを中心に人間の心の本質と霊的解脱を追求した「仏教」と、極東を中心に人間道徳の標準と天倫の基本秩序を確立した「儒教」の出会いが、東洋思想の骨格を成し遂げました。

これら東西洋の偉大な文明は、数千年の間、互いに異なる地政学的環境の中で独自的に成熟し、天が約束された終わりの時を準備してきました。しかし、人類が思想や人種、地域の壁を越えられずに葛藤する中、大韓民国の近現代史は、これらすべての文明が一つに出会う巨大な溶鉱炉（ようこうろ）となりました。西洋文明の最終的な結実であるキリスト教が波のように押し寄せ、東洋の悠久な儒・仏・仙の伝統が一堂に会したのです。

このような文明史的大収斂の基盤の上に、ついに東西洋文明の霊的精髄を抱いて朝鮮半島に来られた方こそ、再臨メシヤの文鮮明・真のお父様と、初臨独り娘の韓鶴子・真のお母様でいらっしゃいます。真の父母様の顕現を通して、人類の全ての思想と霊性は、初めて完全な統一と完成を見ることとなりました。

天の父母様は、真の父母様を通して東洋と西洋の宗教と哲学を朝鮮半島において一つに収斂(しゅうれん)され、「祝福式」という天の摂理の歴史を展開されました。この祝福を通して、全人類の文化・人種・思想の壁を打ち壊し統合され、霊性と知性が神霊と真理の中で真の愛によって完成される新しい文明の時代を、大きく開いてくださいました。

3. [信仰の祖国、その歴史と文化を学ぶ理由]

それでは、私たちはなぜ真の父母様が来られた祖国の歴史と文化を、これほどまでに深く学び、体恤しなければならないのでしょうか?

人類の宗教史を振り返ると、天の摂理を導いた中心人物が登場するたびに、その人物が生まれ、使命を果たした地は、単なる地理的空間を超えて、信仰と文明の源泉として認識されてきました。

その地の歴史と文化は、後代の信仰者たちにとって天のみ旨を理解する重要な通路となり、信仰の伝統を継承する礎（いしずえ）となりました。旧約時代の信仰者たちは、アブラハムやモーセをはじめとする預言者たちの足跡が刻まれたカナンの歴史と伝統を聖書を通して学び、神の摂理を悟りました。

新約時代のクリスチャンたちは、イエス様が誕生され福音を伝えられたイスラエルとパレスチナの歴史と文化を、自らの霊的故郷として捉え、今日に至るまで聖地巡礼や聖書研究を通して、その意味を噛みしめています。

仏教では、釈迦牟尼仏が悟りを開かれたインドの聖地を信仰の根源として尊重し、その精神世界を探求してきました。また儒教では、孔子が活動した古代中国の歴史と「礼（れい）」の文化を学問の本流として継承してきました。

また、イスラム教の信徒であるムスリムは、預言者ムハンマドが神の啓示を受けたアラビアの地を聖地として崇敬し、その歴史と伝統を信仰生活の大切な基盤として今日まで受け継いでいます。このように、人類の偉大な信仰の伝統は、全て中心人物が歩んできた歴史と文化の中で自らのアイデンティティを発見し、その精神を学び、継承してきました。

4. 【心情的帰郷】

愛する全世界祝福家庭、食口の皆様、

西洋の知性と宗教的な基台、そして東洋の霊性と道徳的な伝統を一つに統合され、真の平和世界を開いていかれる真の父母様に侍る私たちは、今や血統と民族の全ての境界を越え、真の父母様の真の愛の血統を相続した天の父母様の直系子女となりました。だからこそ、私たちにとって「韓民族選民大叙事詩」を学ぶことは、決して他国の歴史を学ぶ傍観者の学習ではありません。

それは、東西文明を完成された真の父母様の祖国を学び、天の父母様が長い摂理の歴史の中で築いてこられた心情的な土壌と血統的な基台を悟り、私たち自身の信仰の本郷（ふるさと）を訪ねていく、最も聖なる「心情的帰郷」なのです。

この学びを通して私たちは、東西の摂理を一つに結ばれた真の父母様の宇宙的な愛と心情を生活の中で実践し、天一国時代を生きる天の真の子女として、より一層成熟していくでしょう。

5. 【今週の実践:心情的帰郷の第一歩】

愛する食口の皆様、

今週はしばしの時間を割き、インターネットを通して朝鮮半島の歴史あるいは韓国の文化について調べてみてはいかがでしょうか。さらに踏み込んで、「韓民族選民大叙事詩」に登場する人物たちについても、直接調べてみることをお勧めいたします。また、自ら調べ発見した内容を、周りの食口たちと共に分かち合う時間を持たれることを願います。

学びは一人で抱えている時より、共に分かち合うときにより一層深まり、その分かち合いを通してお互いに新しい洞察と悟りを得る貴重な機会となることでしょう。皆様の関心が向くところから一歩ずつ、着実に真のご父母様の祖国を理解しながら、「心情的帰郷」の道を歩んでいかれますよう願います。

その旅程を通して、私たちすべてが天の父母様と真の父母様の心情の中心にさらに深く連結され、その愛と伝統を生活の中で実践する天一国の真の子女として成長することを、心より祈願いたします。来週は、「韓民族選民大叙事詩」を通して私たちが具体的に何を学び、その学びをどのように生活へとつなげていくかについて、共に見てまいります。

今週も、天の父母様と真の父母様の限りない愛と祝福が、食口の皆様、全ての家庭と生活の中に、常に共にあることを祈願いたします。
