Event Theme/Objective: To share a moment of joy and celebration for the 42 years since CARP was established globally.
On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, 44 members gathered at the National Center of the DRC in Kinshasa to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP DRC), which coincided with the 66th anniversary of the independence of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Although this celebration is traditionally organized on June 18 across various CARP chapters worldwide, the leaders of CARP DRC chose to postpone it to June 30 to allow a greater number of members and supporters to take part.
The festivities began at 11:00 AM with a friendly football match. Originally scheduled between alumni and new members, the match ultimately opposed two teams composed of new members due to the absence of the alumni. In a spirit of fraternity, conviviality, and fair play, the participants put on a great sporting match, which concluded with a 5-2 victory, illustrating the teamwork and camaraderie that characterize CARP.
The celebration then continued at the National Center, where CARP members, joined by leaders of FFWPU-DRC, cut the anniversary cake. This symbolically marked the movement’s 42 years of commitment to raising and training young people around the values of peace, responsibility, leadership, and service.
On this occasion, the National Leader, Reverend Rang Wan Lubaka, delivered a message of encouragement to the participants. He congratulated the members for their faithfulness and commitment, while inviting them to participate more diligently in CARP activities and to play an active role in shaping Congolese youth. Sharing his own journey within youth movements before becoming a Central Pastor, he stressed that discipline, a sense of service, perseverance, and leadership are essential qualities for fulfilling one’s mission and contributing to the providence.
His testimony, marked by simplicity and experience, deeply inspired the participants, who renewed their commitment to supporting CARP activities and continuing the mission of educating youth according to the principles of Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
The celebration concluded in a warm and fraternal atmosphere with a family photo, followed by a victory cheer—a symbol of the unity, solidarity, and determination of the members to pursue the ideals of CARP.
This celebration of the 42nd anniversary of CARP DRC will remain a powerful moment of communion, gratitude, and mobilization for the 44 participants, reaffirming their commitment to raising youth of character who carry the values of peace, leadership, and service for the benefit of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
