On June 6, the comprehensive nine-session Youth Leadership Programme in Korça officially concluded with a formal graduation ceremony. Designed to equip the next generation with essential personal and professional skills, the program successfully graduated thirty young participants. Alongside the core curriculum, the initiative integrated historical reflection and community engagement, culminating in practical project proposals and a special collaborative event for the International Day of Families.

Over the course of nine intensive sessions, the thirty participants engaged in a multidisciplinary curriculum tailored to foster well-rounded community leaders. The core areas of study included:

  • Leadership & Communication: Building effective interpersonal skills, public speaking, and team management.
  • Financial Literacy: Equipping youth with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions and manage resources effectively.
  • Career Development: Providing actionable guidance for entering the workforce and mapping long-term professional goals.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Cultivating awareness and proactive approaches to ecological sustainability.

Moving beyond theoretical knowledge, the participants were required to apply their new skills to real-world scenarios. The youth successfully developed actionable project proposals aimed at addressing specific local community needs in Korça. This exercise bridged the gap between classroom learning and active civic engagement.

Prior to receiving their certifications, the cohort participated in an educational excursion to the House of Leaves Museum in Tirana. This visit served as a powerful concluding lesson. By exploring Albania’s complex history, the youth were encouraged to reflect deeply on the vital importance of freedom, personal responsibility, and historical truth.

The program officially closed on June 6 with a formal certification ceremony. The event celebrated the substantial personal growth, dedication, and academic achievements of the participants. Each of the thirty graduates received a certificate, marking their readiness to step up as proactive leaders within their communities.

In parallel with the leadership program, a special community event was organized to mark the International Day of Families.

Organized in close cooperation with Themistokli Gërmenji High School, the event featured a series of presentations and open discussions. Key themes included:

  • Identifying and navigating the unique challenges facing modern families today.
  • The foundational role of love, harmony, and mutual respect in the household.
  • The direct correlation between building healthy home environments and fostering stronger, more resilient communities.

The successful conclusion of the nine-session Youth Leadership Programme represents a significant investment in the future of Korça. By combining practical skill-building, historical awareness, and community-focused project design, the program has successfully empowered thirty young individuals to drive positive, sustainable change in their society.
