Message to Members from the World Mission Headquarters of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, on May 24, 2025. Please ensure that all members around you read it.
Some people are concerned about recent media coverage of the Family Federation.
For more than 70 years, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification has invested itself for the sake of stability on the Korean peninsula and for world peace. No one can deny the efforts that True Parents have poured into finding providential solutions when nations and peoples face crises. Numerous leaders, members, and citizens both at home and abroad have devoted themselves to this work.
The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification has taught only the path toward peaceful unification and world peace with Heaven at the center and has thereby established an unprecedented foundation worldwide. Korea has become the homeland of faith for people around the world.
Throughout its history, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification has had no reason or necessity to become involved in worldly matters. The reports certain media outlets have produced reflect the personal motivations and actions of certain individuals who were formerly among the numerous members who participated in the work of the Family Federation and are no longer connected to our global mission or the providence.
Particularly, if there are former International Headquarters personnel who misused their authority as leaders, which was entrusted to them by the community for the sake of Heaven’s providence, or who now unscrupulously harm our entire Unification community to evade their responsibilities, they should certainly repent for their actions—whether past or present—motivated by personal interest, and seek forgiveness before the providence and the entire Unification community.
There is no reason to pay attention to the malicious claims of those who are not our members or who are spiritually impure. Later, they will be held legally and spiritually responsible for their false assertions.
We express our utmost concern about attempts, based on a secular perspective, to harm the Holy status of the True Parents, who are the object of religious faith and reverence for blessed families worldwide. We also express strong regret regarding attempts to exploit the Unification community’s spiritual authority for secular purposes during chaotic domestic and international political, diplomatic, and economic circumstances.
As a holy ground for all humanity and a global faith, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification seeks to affirm that the Korean people and blessed families worldwide are chosen by God, to illuminate the way forward, and to invite all to participate in God’s providence.
