President Dr. Koji Matsuda, president of YSP International, arrived in Zambia in the early morning of December 4, 2023, for his second regional tour of 5 nations.
He was welcomed at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka by the Regional Vice President and YSP President, Mrs. Mica Amanlaman, National Leader, Rev. David Isaac Phiri, National IAYSP President, Mr. Soondo Mutewa, Special Youth Envoy for Eastern and Southern Africa, Mr. Phillip Karamagi and other Youths leaders present.
He had his first meeting with the National Staff in the presence of Mrs. Mica Amalaman at the Peace Embassy.
During the meeting, President Matsuda was able to listen to the reports of different departments and providential organizations and IAYSP. After the meeting, he conveyed True Mother’s Love and Word to the leaders present, encouraging them to unite with her for the Zambia National Restoration, Continental Restoration, and World Restoration. He further appealed to leaders to take care of the second generation and youth at large as they are precious to Heavenly Parent and True Parents. After the meeting, the President proceeded to the HJ Cheonbo Training Centre where more than 150 second generation and youth, leaders and members were waiting for him for a great festival.
The event was characterized by songs by the Young Mothers’ choir, a dance Tongil Mudo performance, and a demonstration with HYO JIN Moon Musical dance and other exciting performances. During the event, President Matsuda further elaborated on Mother’s plan for the youth and highlighted the activities aligned with Mother’s vision.
He emphasized Mother’s instructions in her message nowadays and her deep love which has touched young people present. He further encouraged youths to take the lead by participating in the church’s growth and experiencing youth missionary life which will strengthen their life of faith. After dinner, he had intimate interaction with youth elders from 18 years and above addressing their practical questions and challenges. President Matsuda expressed his support for them encouraging them to be a shining light and pure water and looking for their identity in Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
The next day December 5, President Matsuda and the Regional IAYSP President participated in a fruitful collaborative meeting with key IAYSP Zambia youth NGOs and university partners. The event drew representatives from over 16 youth NGOs, 2 university student union representatives, and 59 youth participants from different walks of life. The session articulated the vision of IAYSP and shared key activities, including Synergy 2024 and the Africa Youth Assembly 2024. The event concluded with a resolution from participants to collaborate closely with IAYSP.
After he departed for the Airport, President Matsuda had a closed-door meeting with some Youth leaders from Malawi, Zambia, and Botswana for a strong partnership. During the meeting, President Matsuda emphasized working together to foster IAYSP and youths in these 3 nations.
President Matsuda left Zambia on December 5, 2023, headed to Kenya on his third tour visit. This visit has been a fruitful one as it was able to revive many youths and many second generation and youth who used not to attend activities for a long time were present and were revived.
