The World Tong-Il Moo-Do Federation and the Thailand Tong-Il Moo-Do Association celebrated the 40th Anniversary of Tong-Il Moo-Do in Thailand and inaugurated “Se Do Won” (世道苑) Thailand. This event took place at the International Martial Arts Academy (IMA) in Chiang Mai on November 30, 2024.
Dr. Joon Ho Seuk, the founder of Tong-Il Moo-Do and “Se Do Won” (世道苑) in Chiang Mai, Thailand, received a warm welcome from Thai Tong-Il Moo-Do leaders and members. Thai Tong-Il Moo-Do members performed exciting demonstrations, including jumping falls, brick and wooden board breaking, forms with linear and spherical motions, and sparring.
Dr. Joon Ho Seuk delivered the keynote speech, offering an inspirational message about Tong-Il Moo-Do’s goals, meaning, and vision. Grand Master Takamitsu Hoshiko, Co-President of the World Tong-Il Moo-Do Federation, spoke on the importance of Se Do Won in youth education.
Mr. Kamol Thananopavarn, Chairman of the World Tong-Il Federation Thailand, and Mr. Yongyu Sri-on, the mayor of Long Kod local sub-district, delivered congratulatory messages. The ceremony culminated in a tape-cutting event led by Dr. Joon Ho Seuk, unveiling signage at the Do-jang and entrance gate, all set against a beautiful backdrop under clear skies. The name “Se Do Won” (世道苑) was given by True Father on February 14, 2012. “Se Do Won” is a global organization that aims to guide martial artists to their original positions while promoting universal principles through martial arts.
Following a luncheon with Dr. Seuk and other VIPs, and with Dr. Seuk’s guidance, Grandmaster Takamitsu Hoshiko conducted a Tong-Il Moo-Do workshop at the Do-jang. In this session, Dr. Seuk spoke and encouraged participants to advance the accomplishments of True Parents and stressed the importance of excelling not only in technical skills but also in academic and spiritual life. He urged adherence to the mottos of Tong-Il Moo-Do, which encompass the main teachings of True Father, including absolute sex and the Principles of True Love.
