Tongilmoodo Athletes from different parts of the country convened at the La Union Province in the 2024 TONG IL MOO DO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP at the beautiful and sprawling BNCS Sports Complex in Bauang, La Union, Philippines. Participated by ten Regions from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with a total of 153 athletes showcasing their martial arts skills in the Sparring, Bon, and the special event of Gichoom in the expanse of the three days event.
The Provincial Government of La Union represented by the Provincial Youth Development Officer of the PSWD Office Ms. Zyjazz D. De Guzman graced the event as a guest speaker together with the Vice Mayor of Bauang Town, Hon Henry Bacurnay Jr. The Honorable Sanggunian Bayan Member and HTM Felix Sanchez also gave an inspirational message to the athletes in attendance during the opening program. Dr. Venus Agustin, the WTMF Secretary General was also present during the event representing the international leaders of the World Tongilmoodo Federation.
The Annual Tongilmoodo National Championship is a dynamic program of Tongilmoodo Philippines that encourages young people to excel as athletes as well as to imbibe the moral standards emanated from their martial arts training such as discipline, self-control, determination, commitment, and the Tongilmoodo core values of filial piety and loyalty. The next stop of the Tongilmoodo National Championship 2025 will be at the Island of Mindanao, Zamboanga Province.
Tong-il Moo Do is indeed a great way to save our young people. With this kind of martial art, our young people will find their purpose and will become a true example of a champion. A champion who will become a role model of purity, peace, and hope for the next generation.
The 2024 TONG-IL MOO-DO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP became an avenue of all the practitioners from across the country to showcase their hard work in training, their fighting spirit, their discipline, and it also became an avenue of peace. Players have shown that win or lose they are all brothers and sisters, by showing respect and love for one another.
With these, Tong-il Moo-do pledges to continuously save young people with its technical skills and moral values centering on our three life goals; to become a man and woman of good character, to establish an ideal family, and to contribute to a world of lasting peace and prosperity.
