Cambodian Tong Il Moo Do Federation cooperated with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport to hold the Tong Il Moo Do National Championship 2023 at the National Olympic Stadium from 27 to 30 December 2023. There are 64 sportsmen and women registered and over 100 people attend the whole program. It is not only competition but also HJ Character Education with the Principle of True Love: Principle of Dual Characteristics, Principle of Give and Take Action, Principle of Higher Purpose, Principle of 3 orderly Stages of Growth, and Principle of Freedom with Responsibility. Through practicing TIMD we can fulfill the 3 Purposes of Life: 1. Build mature character, 2. Build a happy and ideal family and 3. Contribute to society with the support of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport fund.
For the 4th term (2022-2026) of Cambodian Tong Il Moo Do Federation and TIMD National Championship 2023 result, Dr. Joon Ho Seuk, Founder of World Tong Il Moo Do Federation focuses on more on Hyo Jeong Character Education which we believe that the spiritual and physical strength must be in balance, and we have vision to be part of Olympic Games in the future so that we can promote World Peace through sport as Dr. Sun Myung Moon, Initiatives of Tong Il Moo Do. We need the support from World Tong Il Moo Do Federation to promote itself into the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
In the closing ceremony, there are over 150 people and H.E Chey Chap, President of CTMF and Dr. Joon Ho Seuk being the keynote speaker spoke about the meaning and purpose of Tong-Il Moo-Do. He said that our 40th Anniversary on August 28, 2019, Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon came to give her message even though she was extremely busy. She emphasized that Dr. and Mrs. Moon initiated Tong-Il Moo-Do with a very ardent, desperate, and serious heart to save young people, one more life, one more nation to receive the blessing as heavenly sons and daughters of Heavenly Parents and True Parents. Our most important task as Tong-Il Moo-Do leaders is to inherit such an ardent, desperate, and serious heart of True Parents.
Dr. Seuk said that we all must understand the meaning of Tong-Il Moo-Do (TIMD). The meaning of TIMD should be appropriately taught so the students can understand it correctly. TIMD is not unified martial arts or Korean mix martial arts. It is Tong-Il Moo-Do.
The center of Tong-Il Moo-Do (TIMD) is the Unification Thought. This is the supreme philosophy of TIMD whose core values are the following: Firstly: Ae Cheon, Ae In, Ae Guk (Loving God, Loving Humanity, Loving the Nation). Secondly: Gong Seng, Gong Yung, Gong Eui (Co-Living, Co-Prosperity, Co-Righteousness). Thirdly: Absolute sexual ethics & True Family Values. . Fourthly, the Samdae Juchae Sasang (three subject ideas) which means True Parents, True Teacher, True Owner.
Technically, Tong-Il Moo-Do (TIMD) has the supreme techniques integrating all the best essence from different martial arts. Firstly, integrating circular motion and linear motion. Secondly, improving all the existing martial arts techniques. Thirdly, most importantly inventing and creating new techniques. Tong-Il Moo-Do (TIMD) developed new techniques such as the Wongu (Wonhwa) Tong-Il motion, Pyunghwa Eui Bon motion, Chamsarang Eui Bon motion, Wang Kwon Eui Bon motion (II). These are the new techniques or motion which only Tong-Il Moo-Do has. No other martial arts have these techniques.
The year of 2024 is the year of Dragon according to the Chinese calendar. The year of Dragon symbolizes hope and courage challenging new things to bring great success. Let us make the year 2024 be the year of “March forward bravely with discipline and challenge any difficulties and hardships to achieve the greatest victory,” and Dr. Seuk concluded by giving grace and blessing by saying be healthy family, healthy community, healthy district, healthy province and healthy nation and become the Heavenly Cambodia.
