To support children and young people with cancer, WFWP Bolivia initiated a project to raise funds through the collection of plastic bottle caps. This effort also aimed to promote recycling, solidarity, and teamwork. The plastic bag recycling project, titled ARTE JALMONIM, was presented to Councilor Lucía Mamani from the Autonomous Government of La Paz. Thanks to the project’s positive impact, we were invited to participate in the TAPATON 2024 “RECYCLING WITH LOVE” campaign, decorating the TV Universitaria set with arrangements and accessories made from recycled materials.

Additionally, we collaborated with the TV Universitaria channel by donating face masks as a response to an environmental crisis affecting our country at the time. This demonstrated our commitment not only to recycling but also to the health and well-being of the community.

We were invited to actively participate in a televised campaign airing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays throughout September. During these segments, we offered practical advice and demonstrated, step-by-step, how to recycle and create various accessories from recycled plastic bags.

The central event of the campaign occurred on September 28, 2024, when WFWP Bolivia had the honor of being a special guest at TAPATON 2024. We seized this opportunity to raise awareness about our organization in the media and invited our CARP allies to showcase their valuable societal contributions.

During the main fair, both WFWP and CARP Bolivia joined forces to support the collection of plastic caps and promote environmental protection. At the campaign’s conclusion, WFWP Bolivia received special recognition for its significant contributions to promoting recycling and preserving the environment.
