Excerpt from True Mother’s message at the 124 Couples 60th Blessing Anniversary Luncheon Hosted by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind, held on July 24, 2023, at Cheon Jeong Gung
Has it been 60 years since the 124 couples were blessed? [Yes.] Okay. You have come a long way. Are you all in your eighties or nineties? [Yes.] You are all people that received the Blessing. You have travelled a long road to reach Cheon Il Guk!
Cheon Il Guk. Cheon Il Guk is where the dream of the Creator, our Heavenly Parent, can be realized. True Parents’ mission is to live in attendance of the Creator, our Heavenly Parent, on earth.
It took 6,000 years for the True Parents to emerge from this fallen world. Two thousand years ago, it was the only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. The only begotten Son.
Our Heavenly Parent could not abandon fallen humanity. In order to carry out the work of salvation Heaven chose Israel as the chosen people and began the work of the providence of salvation. How hard for Heavenly Parent it must have been that it was only after 4,000 years that the only begotten Son—of whom Heavenly Parent could say “This is my son”—was born.
God worked through Abraham, Isaac, and Joseph up to the time of the birth of the only begotten Son. The lineage of goodness that Heaven could select and work with is different. It is from such a lineage that God’s only begotten Son was born. If we consider the principles of Creation, the Creator created all things throughout heaven and earth in his image, and created a man and woman who were to be the first ancestors of humankind.
The Creator gave human beings a time period for their growth. The Creator intended to dwell with people who had perfected their characters by their own effort. However, the first human ancestors were unable to achieve that perfection and, through their Fall, they made the fallen world we see today.
Human history is full of war and conflict. Although humankind had been pursuing peace, we had not been able to usher in a peaceful world. Why? Because the subject partner, the Lord, had not been born.
It is said that Mary conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit, yet she was unable to fulfill her responsibility. Even though this would mean doing things differently, she should have thought about the providence, yet her life centered on ordinary human concerns.
Heaven long ago found and established a new people. This was the Han race. If you go back to Gojoseon, there was the Han dynasty. They revered Heaven, loved nature, and lived a predominantly agrarian lifestyle.
However, they were invaded by many neighboring countries over the course of thousands of years. Despite this, they never invaded another country. The Han people occupied vast territories in China. Yet they moved further south to what is now known as the Korean peninsula.
God must complete his providence and Will. Following Jesus’ crucifixion, the apostles experienced spiritual rebirth through the Holy Spirit. It was from them that Christianity began, the Christian faith. Yet after suffering much persecution in the early days, they emerged again, waiting for Jesus who had promised to return.
But in fact, these people did not receive Jesus’ teachings directly from him. Jesus said, “I have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.” In other words, the Christian Church does not know the fundamental nature of Jesus.
So it began with the Catholic Church. After establishing and working with a human-centric system, the spirit and truth were lacking. So, how did the priests, who had not experienced spiritual phenomena themselves, and who could not deal well with them, treat those who saw the spirit world? Witch hunts. Many were taken and executed. That’s why communism could emerge from Catholic culture, saying that there is no God, that God is dead.
Luther had brought about the Reformation, which Calvin still more firmly established. Calvin stated that that pastors, elders, deacons, and laypeople should unite and serve God together. Growth was therefore inevitable.
The Puritans emigrated to the New World, which we now know as America, and established a great democratic power in the present era. It was Heaven’s work to create an environment for True Parents to complete God’s providence.
However, no one knew or spoke the truth about Heaven’s providence. You should all know this. The only begotten Daughter was born on the Korean peninsula in 1943, after 6,000 years. The only begotten Daughter. She is to see the completion of the providence.
The one who stands in the same position as Jesus who promised to return is the Second Advent. The Second Coming. At the time of the birth of only begotten Daughter, the environment [in Korea] was under Japanese rule. Liberation came in 1945, but with that liberation came both democracy and communism.
At that time, I was in North Korea. But my uncle on my mother’s side studied in Japan. However, he did not return to the North after his graduation. We received information that he had gone to South Korea and enlisted in the military there. Amid such circumstances, the communist North was preparing to invade the South with the Soviet Union’s assistance.
In accordance with the principles of Creation, God had to provide me with a period of growth. A time to grow. A six-year-old cannot fulfil the providence, as you know. Therefore, God had to protect me. As this would have been difficult with the South’s capabilities, sixteen UN member states came to our aid. It was God who made this possible. It wasn’t arranged by human power. What led the young people from these sixteen nations to shed their blood?
When I considered Heaven’s providence, I thought, if I don’t take responsibility, it will be prolonged. Heaven will have to wait longer. So I put everything aside. I just thought of our Heavenly Parent.
However, I hoped that if I waited patiently, the heavenly providence would not be prolonged. But Heaven told me to hold Foundation Day. God said this could not be delayed any longer. The opportunity to fulfill our responsibility on earth does not stay forever. Now is the time. Now.
Even in your eighties and nineties, you participated in the dedication of Cheon Won Gung and the Cheon Il Sanctum, which represents the settlement of Cheon Il Guk. That is a place where you can attend Heavenly Parent. You are indeed the proud 124 couples. Isn’t that so? [Yes.]
Before you die, you should fulfill your responsibility. National restoration. Because you received the Blessing from True Parents, who can work freely with Heavenly Parent, you must be responsible.
So over the past ten years, how much did I invest, asking you all to become tribal messiahs and Cheonbo couples? Yet that alone is not enough. There is no nation that attends Heavenly Parent. Heaven raised our people as the chosen people to bring about the birth of the only begotten Daughter, but we have to take responsibility before Heaven. Is that right or not? [Right.] Surely we should not be a people that does not know its value. It is a most precious time when you are on earth and True Mother is also on earth. Not one of you should let this opportunity pass you by.
I received a report yesterday evening. I had called the former regional president of the United States of America to come to Korea to work for national restoration. He was put in charge of a church that had a congregation of fewer than 100 people. He only came a short while ago, and last Sunday there were 350 at the Sunday service.
You should go before the Heavenly Parent as proud sons and daughters. Creating the environment for Heavenly Parent and True Parents is the responsibility of the blessed families. Will you do that? [Yes.] Thank you. I am grateful for your continued good health.
Let’s accomplish our responsibility now. As long as we are able to take one step forward, let’s do so. All right? [Yes.]
