From the rural township of Quebrada Seca in Yopal, Colombia, seventeen children participated in an educational and cultural experience in the city of Bogotá on August 31, 2026.

This initiative was made possible thanks to the support of families, neighbors, social organizations, and private companies, who united to provide these children with an opportunity for learning, fellowship, and personal growth.

During their visit, the participants were welcomed at the national headquarters of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) Colombia, under the leadership of National President Rev. Alejandro Fayad and his wife, Mrs. Silvana Amaral.

There, they received guidance on family values, character development, teamwork, and building genuine peace through daily life.

As part of the program, the children engaged in cultural activities, educational games, and introductory classes in Portuguese and Korean.

They also visited iconic landmarks in Bogotá, including Monserrate, Bolívar Square, the Nariño Palace (Casa de Nariño), and the Capitol Building (Congreso de la República).

This journey planted hope for a brighter future in their hearts, allowing the children to expand their horizons, strengthen their character, and unlock new potential.

Known as the Roots of Hope Project, this experience proved that when a community works together, it can instill a practical vision of peace, service, and hope for the future in the next generation.
