From July 20 to 21, the Hyodong Seminar was held at the Chamarande Education Center in France, bringing together a total of 25 participants (10 participants and 15 staff members) under the theme “The Dream of Heavenly Parent.”
The first day began with the opening ceremony. During the ceremony, participants were encouraged in the hope that this Hyodong Seminar would be an opportunity for them to discover who the Heavenly Parent is, to understand the Heavenly Parent’s dream, and to grow as Hyodong members capable of putting it into practice in their daily lives. An icebreaker session then helped everyone get to know one another and feel at ease.
The first lecture focused on the theme “The Work of Heavenly Parent.” The children learned about the existence of the Heavenly Parent and the fact that we are His children. As a hands-on activity, an animal origami workshop was held to allow them to express their creativity as children of the Heavenly Parent.
The second lecture, titled “Heavenly Parent’s Dream,” allowed participants to learn more about the Heavenly Parent’s internal nature (seongsang) and external form (hyeongsang), as well as the importance of living in harmony and living for others—just as the Heavenly Parent desires for His children. The hands-on activity that followed involved creating videos in teams on the themes of true love, living for others, and mind-body unity.
In the evening, a “Creating a Love Mailbox” activity was held. Each participant made their own mailbox to place a daily note of love or a compliment for their family inside, thereby practicing true love at home. On this occasion, a surprise video prepared by the parents was also shown. It was a deeply moving moment where children and staff members were able to feel the love of Heavenly Parent through their own parents.
On the morning of the second day, a lecture on the theme “Letter to Heavenly Parent” taught participants how to pray. After the lecture, everyone went to a place of their choice to pray, in order to learn how to communicate with and live daily with Heavenly Parent and the True Parents through prayer.
The afternoon was devoted to various team activities and water games with water balloons. Finally, the seminar concluded with a closing ceremony, which included participants filling out evaluations, watching videos created by the children, screening a recap film of the seminar, the presentation of certificates, group photos, a closing message, and the signing of diplomas.
Although these two days and one night were short, the seminar went wonderfully under the protection of Heavenly Parent and the True Parents. Thank you.
