Fostering Faith and Sisterhood/Brotherhood in Future Generations: “Boreal Summer Camp 2026”
From July 12 to 19, 2026, the Toronto Family Church hosted the Boreal Summer Camp 2026 at Clearstone Garden. Held under the theme “Building a Foundation of Substance,” the camp aimed to deepen the faith of future generations and foster unity within the community. A total of 42 participants attended, including 19 youth campers alongside 23 staff members and youth leaders.
As one of the most anticipated annual events for Canadian youth, the Boreal Summer Camp is a flagship workshop set in Ontario’s beautiful outdoors. Spearheaded by Toronto Church Youth Ministry leaders, older youth served as team leaders, guiding mixed teams of elementary, middle, and high school students. Through caring for their younger peers with love, the youth naturally experienced and learned heavenly brotherly and sisterly love centered on God.
Every morning was dedicated to Divine Principle/Hoondok lectures, followed by fun recreational activities in the afternoon:
- Elementary Program: Missionaries sent by True Mother led engaging, easy-to-understand sessions filled with interactive quizzes and hands-on activities.
- Youth Program: Rev. Motoyama, Assistant Sub-regional Director, led outdoor lectures focused on open discussions, which received enthusiastic feedback from the students.
Daily routines and highlights included:
- Morning Exercise: Tong-Il Moo-Do martial arts training.
- Fellowship & Fun: Outings to the Lake Ontario beach, watching and cheering together during the FIFA World Cup, and various interest-based Club Activities.
- Teamwork: A dedicated “Challenging Day” designed to build team spirit, cooperation, and mutual understanding.
On July 19, the camp concluded with a Sunday Service-style Closing Ceremony attended by parents and community members. Sub-regional Director Rev. Jong-Deuk Yu delivered an encouraging message and presented each participant with Death Valley Holy Salt, praying that second- and third-generation Blessed Children grow into leaders of a hopeful future carrying forward the will of God and True Parents.
Due to Canada’s vast geography, youth often live far apart. This camp offered them a precious opportunity to reunite as one family, making heartfelt promises to meet again next year. The Boreal Summer Camp 2026 concluded as a meaningful success—growing the faith, character, and unity of the next generation through study, outdoor adventure, sports, and community love.
