Beloved and respected blessed families of the worldwide Unificationist community, I sincerely pray that the abundant blessings and love of our Heavenly Parent and True Parents will accompany you and your families throughout the coming week.
I am currently touring Heavenly Central and South America. Following the Continental Leaders’ Summit in Jardim, I traveled through Paraguay, and I am now in São Paulo, Brazil, for the weekend.
1. Report on My Speaking Tour of Heavenly Africa
This week, with the warm feeling of this tour of Heavenly Latin America in my heart, I would like to share a testimony from my recent tour of three nations of Heavenly Africa — The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Benin, and Côte d’Ivoire — which concluded just before the celebrations for True Parents’ Birthday.
There is an old saying: “The foolish look at their finger, the wise look at the moon.” The finger only points in the right direction; the essence is in the moon itself. On this tour, I clearly beheld the “moon” that True Mother had asked us to see — the future and hope of Heavenly Africa.
Soon after, True Mother offered the Cheon Won Gung Entrance Ceremony before Heaven, and seven blessed second-generation members were appointed as national leaders in Africa. In a continent where the average age of national leaders had been more than sixty, the emergence of leaders in their twenties and thirties was not merely a change of personnel but the declaration of a new era. Beginning with the youngest, the 26-year-old national leader of DR Congo, and continuing with Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Uganda, and Mali—where a second-generation woman was appointed as national leader—seven nations have welcomed a new generation of leaders.
What moved me most was seeing young members standing as firm pillars of faith in each church. Interestingly, these young leaders all have Korean names — Jin-bok, Eun-ho, Jin-sung, Seong-il, Ru-wan, Woo-sung, Joo-sang. True Parents once said, “Give your children Korean names.” At first, this may seem like a small thing, something that could easily be heard and forgotten. Yet this offers a clear lesson: by not taking even the smallest things lightly, they raised their second generation well and brought hope and blessings to the continent of Heavenly Africa.
I confirmed that this one word from True Parents was planted in this land as a seed of life, and even amid fierce storms, it has grown into a tree with deep roots. Though this may still be the beginning, I am convinced, as True Mother has said, that these trees will soon become great pillars sustaining Heavenly Africa and play a leading role in saving the continent.
They are the fruits of a providential foundation upon which senior second-generation members, trained through UPA, which True Mother established, returned to their homeland of Africa and created systems such as Hyojeong-Rang and the Cheon Il Guk Citizens’ Academy to independently nurture the younger members. In other words, this is a generation that has inherited the faith and passion True Mother personally cultivated. Witnessing how the members in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Benin, and Côte d’Ivoire are united and moving forward, centered on these young leaders, I became convinced that the future of Heavenly Africa is being well prepared for.
The worship services and gatherings during our tour were filled with happiness and hope. Beginning and concluding with songs and dance, the services allowed me to deeply experience the vitality and purity of this continent. Yet behind that joy, there also remain the deep wounds that this land has carried for many generations.
So in Benin, the second nation on the tour, I visited Ouidah, once a center of the slave trade. Standing on that ground—where countless souls were torn from their homeland in tears—I could feel the sorrow of history penetrate deeply into my heart. Confronting this tragedy of people being sent off on slave ships, unable to ever return to their homeland, their human dignity brutally violated, I prayed together with our African leaders. With the Death Valley Holy Salt that True Mother bequeathed to us, we sanctified the land; and after reading True Mother’s benediction offered at Gorée Island in Senegal, we earnestly prayed that the full liberation and blessing of Heavenly Africa, with the abundant grace of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, would descend upon this continent.
True Mother instructed me, “Through the world tour, convey love to the members.” Yet through this tour, I found that I was the one who received even greater love.
Many years ago, while I was studying at UTS in the United States, a fellow student from the Democratic Republic of the Congo once jokingly said to me, “In my country, rough diamonds are so plentiful that you can kick them along the streets; let’s go pick some up together!” When I set foot in that land this time, I did not see any jewels on the roads, but I discovered something far more precious.
Everywhere I went, I met blessed family members and Pure Water members whose eyes were clear and whose faith was pure. They are the true diamonds of this continent. Heavenly Africa is a continent of hope, filled with Heaven’s diamonds shining more brilliantly than any worldly gem.
2. Practice: Warm Encouragement for the Next Generation
Beloved brothers and sisters,
The hope I witnessed in Heavenly Africa did not arise from grandiose conditions or special circumstances. Rather, it was taking root in the purity and faith of members who cherished even the smallest word—for example, the call to give their children Korean names—and in the love of True Mother, who, with a broad and providential vision, has raised up leaders for the future.
We often look for miracles in distant places. Yet just as Heaven’s diamonds are hidden along the roads of Africa, there are already undiscovered jewels shining within your own families and churches.
During this coming week, how about we become “craftsmen of hope,” polishing these precious stones wherever our lives take us?
To the parents of blessed families, please warmly encourage each of your children and each Pure Water member in your church, looking upon them as great trees who will one day save the world. And to our younger generation, I ask that you extend your hand first to friends and younger brothers and sisters. The brief conversations you share will become the seeds of life that break through barren ground.
When we see and treat one another as precious as diamonds, the place where we are standing becomes a “continent of hope.” I am confident that your small acts of goodness will combine and grow into the great forest of Cheon Il Guk that will save the world.
I pray that Heavenly Parent’s blessings will overflow upon you, your families, and your communities throughout the week ahead. Thank you.

존경하고 사랑하는 전 세계 통일가 축복가정 식구 여러분,
이번 주도 하늘부모님과 참부모님의 크신 축복과 사랑이 여러분과 여러분의 가정 위에 충만히 임하시기를 진심으로 기원드립니다.
저는 지금 신중남미 대륙 순회 일정 가운데 자르딘에서 열린 대륙 지도자 총회를 마무리하고, 파라과이를 거쳐 주말에 브라질 상파울로에 와 있습니다.
1. 신아프리카 대륙 순회 보고
이번 주에는 현재 진행 중인 신중남미 대륙 순회의 따끈한 심정을 마음에 담은 채, 제가 성탄 기념행사 직전에 다녀온 신아프리카 대륙의 DR콩고, 베냉, 코트디부아르 3개국을 순회, 그 일부를 간증의 마음으로 나누고자 합니다.
예로부터 “어리석은 자는 손가락을 보고, 현명한 자는 달을 본다”는 말이 있습니다. 손가락은 방향을 가리킬 뿐, 본질은 달 그 자체에 있습니다. 이번 순회를 통해 저는 참어머님께서 보라고 하신 그 ‘달’, 곧 신아프리카의 미래와 희망을 분명히 목도하였습니다.
어머님께서 입궁식을 하늘 앞에 봉헌하신 이후, 신아프리카 대륙에서는 7명의 축복 2세가 국가협회장으로 새롭게 세워졌습니다. 당시 협회장 평균 연령이 60세를 넘던 대륙에서 20~30대 지도자들이 전면에 선 것은 단순한 인사 이동이 아니라 시대의 전환을 알리는 선언과도 같았습니다. 최연소 DR콩고의 26세 협회장을 비롯하여 베냉, 코트디부아르, 세네갈, 부르키나파소, 우간다, 그리고 2세 여성 협회장이 세워진 말리까지, 총 7개국에 새로운 세대가 세워졌습니다.
무엇보다 감동적이었던 것은 각 교회마다 젊은 청년들이 신앙의 견고한 축을 이루고 있다는 사실이었습니다. 특히 눈길을 끌었던 점은 젊은 지도자들 모두가 진복, 은호, 진성, 성일, 루완, 우성, 주상과 같은 한국 이름을 가지고 있다는 것이었습니다. “자녀들에게 한국 이름을 지어주라” 하신 참부모님의 말씀 한마디는 작아 보일 수있습니다. 어찌보면 가벼히 듣고 잊을 수 있는 일일 것입니다. 하지만, 작은 것까지 가벼이 여기지 않았던 삶이 보여준 것은 2세를 잘 키워 신 아프리카에 희망과 축복을 안겨주었다는 교훈입니다.
그 말씀 한 마디가 이 땅에 생명의 씨앗으로 심겨 모진 비바람 속에서도 뿌리 깊은 나무로 성장했음을 확인했습니다. 비록 지금은 시작일지라도, 참어머님께서 말씀하신 것처럼 이 나무들은 머지않아 신아프리카를 지탱할 거목이 되어 대륙을 구원할 주역이 될 것임을 확신합니다.
이들은 어머님께서 세우신 UPA를 통해 훈련받은 2세 선배들이 고국 아프리카로 돌아와 효정랑과 천일국시민아카데미 등 체계를 세워 후배들을 자체적으로 양성하고, 그 토대 위에서 성장한 열매들입니다. 즉, 어머님께서 직접 길러내신 신앙과 열정을 상속받은 세대입니다. 실제로 DR콩고, 베냉, 코트디부아르에서 그들을 중심으로 식구들이 하나 되어 움직이는 모습을 보며, 신아프리카의 미래는 준비되고 있다는 확신이 들었습니다.
이번 순회 가운데 드려진 예배와 집회는 행복과 희망이 가득했습니다. 노래와 춤으로 시작해 노래와 춤으로 마무리되는 예배 속에서, 저는 이 대륙이 지닌 생명력과 순수함을 깊이 느꼈습니다. 그러나 그 환희의 이면에는 오랜 세월 이 땅이 품어 온 깊은 상처 또한 존재했습니다.
두 번째 방문한 베냉에는 ‘우이다’라는 과거 노예무역의 중심지였던 곳이 있습니다. 수많은 영혼이 눈물로 떠나야 했던 그 땅에 서니, 역사의 비통함이 가슴 깊이 전해졌습니다. 고향으로 돌아오지 못한 채 배에 실려가야 했던 이들, 인간의 존엄이 짓밟혔던 참혹한 현실 앞에서 저는 아프리카 지도자들과 함께 기도했습니다. 어머님께서 상속해 주신 데스벨리 성염으로 그 땅을 성별하며, 고래섬에서 봉헌하신 어머님의 축도를 훈독한 후, 신아프리카 해원과 하늘부모님·참부모님의 축복이 이 대륙 위에 충만히 임하기를 간절히 기도드렸습니다.
어머님께서는 “세계순회를 통해 식구들에게 사랑을 전하라”고 하셨습니다. 그러나 이번 순회를 통해 저는 오히려 더 큰 사랑을 받았습니다.
예전에 미국 UTS 신학대학원에서 함께 유학하던 DR콩고의 한 식구가 “이 나라에서는 다이아몬드원석이 길거리에서 발에 차일 정도로 많다”며 함께 주우러 가자고 농담처럼 말한 적이 있습니다. 이번에 직접 이 땅을 밟아보니, 길 위에서 보석은 보이지 않았습니다. 그러나 저는 그보다 훨씬 값진 것을 발견했습니다.
가는 곳마다 만난 축복가정과 퓨어워터들, 눈빛이 맑고 믿음이 순수한 식구들. 바로 그들이 이 대륙의 진정한 다이아몬드였습니다. 신아프리카는 세상의 어떤 보석보다 빛나는 하늘의 다이아몬드가 가득한, 희망의 대륙이었습니다.
2. 실천: 미래세대를 향한 따뜻한 격려
사랑하는 식구 여러분,
신아프리카에서 제가 목도한 희망은 결코 거창한 조건이나 특별한 환경에서 비롯된 것이 아니었습니다. 그것은 “이름을 지어주라”는 말씀 한마디를 가벼이 여기지 않은 순수함과 믿음, 그리고 거시적인 안목으로 미래 인재들을 세워 주신 참어머님의 사랑에서 아프리카의 희망은 싹이 터오고 있었습니다.
우리는 종종 기적을 멀리서 찾습니다. 그러나 아프리카의 길가에 하늘의 다이아몬드가 숨겨져 있듯, 여러분의 가정과 교회 안에도 아직 발견되지 않은 보석들이 이미 빛나고 있습니다.
이번 한 주, 우리도 각자의 삶의 자리에서 그 보석들을 다듬는 ‘희망의 세공사’가 되어보면 어떻겠습니까?
축복가정 부모님들께서는 곁에 있는 자녀와 교회의 퓨어워터 한 사람 한 사람을 ‘세상을 구원할 거목’으로 바라보는 눈빛으로 따뜻하게 격려해 주십시오. 그리고 우리 미래세대 청년 여러분께서는 친구와 동생들에게 먼저 손을 내밀어 주십시오. 여러분이 나누는 짧은 대화가 누군가에게는 척박한 땅을 뚫고 올라오는 생명의 씨앗이 될 것입니다.
우리가 서로를 다이아몬드처럼 귀하게 바라보고 대할 때, 우리가 서 있는 그 자리가 바로 ‘희망의 대륙’이 될 것입니다. 여러분의 작은 실천이 모여 세상을 구할 천일국의 거대한 숲을 이루게 될 것을 확신합니다.

尊敬し愛する全世界統一家、祝福家庭の食口の皆様へ、
今週も天の父母様と真の父母様の大いなる祝福と愛が、皆様と皆様のご家庭に豊かに満ちあふれますことを心よりお祈りいたします。
私は現在、神中南米大陸巡回の日程の中でジャルディンで開催された大陸指導者総会を終え、パラグアイに来ています。
1. 神アフリカ大陸巡回報告
愛する食口の皆様、
今週は、現在進行中の神中南米大陸巡回の熱い思いを胸に抱きながら、私が聖誕記念行事の直前に訪問した神アフリカ大陸のDRコンゴ、ベナン、コートジボワールの3か国を巡回し、その一部を証しの心で分かち合いたいと思います。
古から「愚者は月をさす指を見る。賢者は月そのものを見る。」という言葉があります。指は方向を示すだけであり、本質は月そのものにあります。
今週の一週間、私たちも各自の生活（生き方）の場でその宝石たちを磨きゆく「希望の職人」となってみるのはいかがでしょうか。 真のお母様が入宮式を天に奉献された後、神アフリカ大陸では7名の祝福二世が国家協会長として新たに立てられました。
当時、協会長の平均年齢が60歳を超えていた大陸において、20代・30代の指導者たちが前面に立ったことは、単なる人事異動ではなく時代の転換を告げる宣言とも言えます。
最年少であるDRコンゴの26歳の協会長をはじめ、ベナン、コートジボワール、セネガル、ブルキナファソ、ウガンダ、そして二世女性協会長が立てられたマリまで、計7か国に新しい世代が立てられました。
何よりも感動的だったのは、各教会において若い青年たちが信仰の堅固な柱を築いているという事実でした。特に目を引いた点は、若い指導者たち全員が、ジンボク、ウノ、ジンソン、ソンイル、ルワン、ウソン、ジュサンといった韓国の名前を持っていることでした。
子女たちに韓国の名前を付けてあげなさい」と言われた真の父母様のみ言は、一見すると小さく感じられるかもしれません。あるいは、軽く聞き流して忘れてしまいそうな事かもしれません。
しかし、小さな事をも軽んじなかったその生き方（人生/歩み）が表したのは、祝福二世を正しく立派に育て、神アフリカに希望と祝福をもたらしたという教訓です。
そのみ言の一言が、この地に生命の種として植えられ、 激しい風雨の中でも根深い木（深く根を張る木）へと成長したことを確認しました。
たとえ今は始まりにすぎなくとも、真のお母様が語られたようにこれらの木々はやがて神アフリカを支える大樹（巨木）となり、大陸を救う主役になると確信しています。
彼らは、お母様が設立されたUPA（天宙平和士官学校）を通して訓練を受けた二世の先輩たちが、祖国（母国）アフリカに戻り、「孝情郎（ヒョジョンラン）」や「天一国市民アカデミー」などのシステムを築き、後輩を自ら育成し、その土台の上で成長した結実なのです。すなわち、お母様が育まれた信仰と情熱を継承し、相続した世代です。
実際に、DRコンゴ、ベナン、コートジボワールにおいて、彼らを中心に食口たちが一つとなって動く姿を目の当たりにして、神アフリカの未来は準備されていると確信を持ちました。
今回の巡回の中で捧げられた礼拝や集会は、透明な霊性に満ち溢れていました。歌と踊りに始まり、歌と踊りで終わる礼拝の中で、私はこの大陸が持つ生命力と純粋さを深く感じました。
しかし、その歓喜の背後には、この地が長い歳月抱き続けてきた深い傷跡もまた存在していました。 二番目に訪れたベナンの地には「ウィダ」という、かつて奴隷貿易の中心地があります。
数え切れない魂が涙とともに去らねばならなかったその地に立つと、 歴史の悲痛さが胸の奥深くまで伝わってきました。
故郷へ戻ることを許されぬまま船に積み込まれていかなければならなかった人々、人間の尊厳が踏みにじられた凄惨な現実の前にして、私はアフリカの指導者たちと共に祈りを捧げました。
真のお母様が相続してくださったデスバレー聖塩でその地を聖別し、ゴレ島で奉献された真のお母様の祝祷を訓読した後、 神アフリカの解怨と天の父母様・真の父母様の祝福が、この大陸の上に十分に満ち溢れるよう切実に祈りを捧げました。
真のお母様は「世界巡回を通して食口たちに愛を伝えなさい」とおっしゃいました。しかし、今回の巡回を通じて私はむしろ、より大きな愛を受けました。
以前、DRコンゴのある食口が「この国には道端にダイヤモンドがたくさんある」と言って、「一緒に拾いに行こう」と冗談のように話してくれたことがあります。
今回、直接この地を踏んでみると、道の上に宝石は見えませんでした。 しかし私はそれよりもはるかに価値のあるものを発見しました。
行く先々で出会った祝福家庭とピュアウォーターたち、 澄んだ眼差しと純粋な信仰心を持った食口たち。 まさに彼らこそこの大陸の真のダイヤモンドだったのです。神アフリカは世の中のどんな宝石よりも輝く「天のダイヤモンド」に満ち溢れた希望の大陸でした。
2. 実践：未来世代に向けた温かな激励
愛する食口の皆さん、
神アフリカで私が目撃した希望は、決して大げさな条件や特別な環境から生じたものではありませんでした。
それは「名前を付けてあげなさい」というみ言の一言を生命のように握りしめた一人の信仰の決断、そして大きな視野で未来の人材達を育ててくださった真のお母様の愛から始りました。 私たちはしばしば奇跡というものを遠くに探し求めます。
しかしアフリカの道端に「天のダイヤモンド」が隠されていたように、 皆さんの家庭や教会の中にも、未だ発見されていない宝石たちがすでに光り輝いています。
今週の一週間、私たちも各自の生活（生き方）の場でその宝石たちを磨きゆく「希望の職人」となってみるのはいかがでしょうか。
祝福家庭の父母の皆さんは、身近にいる子女や教会のピュアウォーター一人ひとりを「世界を救う大樹（巨木）」として見つめる眼差しで温かく励ましてあげてください。
そして、未来世代の青年の皆さんは、友人や後輩たちにまず自ら先に手を差し伸べてあげてください。 皆さんが交わす短い会話が、誰かにとっては荒れ果てた地を突き破って芽生える「生命の種」となることでしょう。
私たちが互いを「ダイヤモンド」として見つめ合うとき、 私たちの立つその場所こそが、まさに「希望の大陸」となることでしょう。
皆さんの小さな実践が集まって、天一国の大きな森を成すことを確信しています。 今週も、皆さんと皆さんの家庭、共同体の上に天の父母様の祝福が満ち溢れることをお祈り申し上げます。ありがとうございました。
