YSP and WFWP South Africa
From June 23 to 28, 2024, the Women’s Federation for World Peace South Africa, in collaboration with YSP Cape Town, hosted a 7-day Youth Leadership Training in Wynberg, Cape Town, South Africa. We had 21 participants and another 5 youth were supporting the program as staff members.
Creating a holy atmosphere for the “Youth working together for a sustainable and peaceful future”, we aim to help each participant understand and embrace the values of True Parents’ teachings: true love, purity, cooperation, and responsibility. With the theme: Rise Together – The workshop was to foster collaboration among the youth for a sustainable and peaceful future.
Recognizing the significance of developing leadership potential in young people, the Youth Leadership Workshop is a transformative platform. The young people participated in an intensive program of character education, team-building activities, and community service. One of the highlights of the Youth Workshop was the Pure Love Pledge.
In summary, the 7-Day Youth Leadership Workshop offers a transformative experience, providing young individuals with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become effective leaders. These young leaders are poised to shape a brighter and more prosperous future for themselves and their communities.
We received positive feedback from both participants and parents. Overall, the youth workshop was a valuable and transformative experience for all involved connecting participants to Heavenly Parent and True Parents’ hearts.
