We held a Summer Workshop for our youth in Vancouver on June 22-23, 2024. The theme for the workshop was “Heavenly Parents are the Parents of the Heart: Let’s be the ones who can understand the heart of Heavenly Parent like True Parents!”. We aimed to bring together various future generations, including first-generation youth, who are interested in our movement, second and third-generation youth from Vancouver, second-generation youth from Japan, and second-generation youth from Seattle.
The event was organized by the Cheon Il Guk Youth Envoys, UPA graduates sent by True Parents to the world, and the Heavenly Top Gun Missionaries, giving future generations a valuable opportunity to understand Heavenly Parent and True Parents’ hearts. Through a special lecture in the morning, participants could understand Heavenly Parents’ dreams, how they have been providentially working until now, and how True Parents decided and set out to fulfill their dreams as young adults. Through discussion, they could understand and share more deeply about Heavenly Parents and True Parents’ dreams and hearts with each other.
In the afternoon, through sports, activities, and heart-to-heart sharing, all participants became brothers and sisters and exchanged their lives, concerns, and questions. At night, as a surprise, letters from the parents of all participants were read, and the participants were moved to tears and had the opportunity to write letters of gratitude to their parents. At night, they watched a video of True Parents, the parents of mankind, and sang songs together to offer their gratitude and love to Heavenly Parents and True Parents.
In Vancouver, we have a religious gathering once every two months, and we also have an event once every two months where we can interact with guests who are being evangelized by Heavenly Top Gun missionaries. We will continue to provide continuous education and support to fulfill the dream of one human family under Heavenly Parents.
Participants commented that it was a valuable time for them to realize that they are brothers and sisters centered on Heavenly Parent and True Parents, and through various lectures, they could gain a deeper understanding of Heavenly Parent’s heart and dream.
