Highlighting the critical role of parents in children’s education on this UN day, educating guests about True Parents and the work of UPF and appointing new Ambassadors for Peace.

UPF Peru, the International Association of Media for Peace IMAP, with the sponsorship of the Office of the Congressman of the Republic José Arriola Tueros, celebrated the United Nations International Mothers and Father’s Day 2024 on Monday, June 17.
The celebration took place in the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión auditorium of the Congress of the Republic of Peru, with the participation of more than 200 people including Congressman of the Republic José Arriola Tueros (co- sponsored the meeting.) and Dr. Ángel Sánchez Dueñas, IMAP Sec. Gen. and President of the Federation of Journalists of Peru.
The welcoming words were made by Dr. Trevor Jones President of UPF Peru.
Guests speakers included:
Mag. Jenny Beatriz Pezua Arandia, Master in Educational Management, Master coach and Author. Spoke about her latest book “SOS. Moms in danger of extinction”-The Role of Women and Fathers within the family and society.
Lawyer and Professor Dr.Mariela Idrogo Rodríguez shared about the legal framework related to responsible fatherhood and motherhood within the family nucleus.
UPF Sec.Gen.Jaime Fernandez spoke about the UPF Guiding Principle “Living for the Sake of Others” and the official video of UPF was shown.
50 new Ambassadors for Peace were incorporated, who were invested by Mr. Jaime Fernández Túpac Secretary General UPF Peru. Diplomas of recognition of the UPF Peru Directors and Speakers were presented by Congressman of the Republic José Arriola Tueros.
