Following the successful Shinchu YSP Rally of Hope on September 16, the Taipei Rally was held on October 14, 2023, at the Taipei City Youth Development and Family Education Center. Under the smooth leadership of the two second-generation moderators, the rally was successfully completed with over 620 young scholars and members in attendance.
Mr. Min Dae-sae, president of the FFWPU Taiwan delivered a welcoming remark on behalf of the organizers, and the president of UPF Taiwan, as president of the university, encouraged the young scholars and spoke highly of the rally. Then, the drumming of “Hyojung Rang’s Wish” by the second-generation troupe warmed up the contest and left a deep impression on the audience. Mr. Chen Chun-mo, President of YSP Taiwan, shared the YSP activity report in 2023, which gave the participants a deeper understanding of the YSP vision and activities.
We invited Ms. Chen Ann Han, Executive Director of Children’s Bookstore, to deliver a special lecture as a young model. Participants were touched by her selflessness in caring for local village children and her spirit of overcoming difficult challenges. The performance by the Japan International Service Corps cheerleading squad was also moving.
Through the sharing of the final three winning teams of Peace Designers from Yangmyeong Transportation University, Deokmyeong University of Finance and Technology, and Taipei National University of Education, the young students in attendance were touched by the service spirit of their peers, and the leaders of the organizations felt hope for the future from these young students.
Both the guests and the young students were very positive about the philosophy and achievements of the YSP General Assembly and hoped for more support and participation in the future.
